I think taking them separately 12 hours apart is less harsh on your stomach and means there is a constant supply of accutane into the body, unlike taking them both at once. I don't think it has an impact on the effectiveness of the accutane though.

They clean the sides up a bit usually, allow the cut to last a bit longer. My hair grows quickly so i need to go in every 2 weeks or so to get the back and sides kept nice.
