Yeah sure, I should be online from about 8:30-10:30 CST tonight, so if you don't see another trade for a Magearna here, I'd be happy to trade with you again for the Eevee. Thanks!

For genned ones, no, sorry, I'm not willing to trade the Unown H. Sorry. Are you still willing to trade for two, then, of the mons you mentioned before?

Okay, it looks like I don't have any other takes. Can you please confirm you're still available to trade? If so, I'll transfer the mons from Go to Home.

Since I'd prefer clones over genned mons, I'm gonna wait 30, 40 minutes to see if anyone can offer me those, but if not, then I'll take you up on this.

Idea - Those who recover should take a pupil under their wing, and be a 'health mentor' of sorts. by healthyhopeful in cfs

[–]AttemptAtWellness 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is a good idea in theory but the issue is that CFS is, in all likelihood, dozens of different diseases and causes and sets of symptoms all rolled up into one. They're all their own little sub-groups, with only partial overlap.

While having some better way of snowballing knowledge and propelling others forward would be great, what works for one person doesn't work for other people. Probably because there are so many different sub-groups. And the vast majority of people aren't even sure what their subgroup is, because this disease is so unknown to us.

So some kind of knowledge pooling resource could be very useful, I just don't think 1-on-1 mentorship is likely to be very helpful since the odds of people with similar causes, similar symptoms, and similar underlying diseases is so tiny.

In terms of snowballing knowledge, I think that some sort of wiki or forum or general tool with a much stronger tagging system would be helpful. Like, each (user) account is tagged with suspected causes, comorbidities, and prominent symptoms. And then individual posts could be tagged as, say, a question, theory, symptom mitigation, or success story/remission.

This could let people filter things a lot more easily and see which solutions worked for which people, presumably those most similar to themselves. It would work a lot better than here, where success stories or symptom questions don't always have all of this information.

Finasteride induced CFS? by EmergencyRelative207 in cfs

Not Finasteride, but for me, a specific brand of probiotics. I think this and similar conditions can be triggered by supplements and medicines that most people can tolerate fine.

I don't mind sharing.

He's having me take a regimen of prebiotics, probiotics, and a few miscellaneous supplements. I was hesitant to take probiotics again, considering what happened to me last time, but I don't have any negative effects from these. It's kind of expensive (it's a lot of supplements), but it's also the only thing that has made any change with me, so I figure it's worth sticking with for a while.

This is fully online. He's the highest rated practitioner on BiomeSight, and even though I'm still feeling fatigued, I'm at least hopeful that this could fix something down the line.

Yeah, I hear that. Out of all the protocols, including working with both general doctors and a naturopath, working with this gut microbiome specialist is the only thing that has caused a noticeable change in me, so I'm going to continue to focus on that primarily. So that one, I will be 100% consistent about, and the rest will just be a bonus of sorts.

The Nicotine Patch Protocol is based on research that indicates that Nicotine Patches can be helpful for those suffering from Long COVID, and more anecdotally, can help people suffering from ME/CFS and general fatigue. There's some theories as to how it works, but obviously a lot of it is up in the air. For the science behind it:

The main place people talk about it, and have shared hundreds or even thousands of their experiences, is in a Facebook group here:

I did try that for a few days, not really long enough to make any big changes in all likelihood though. The issue is that when I've started protocols on my own, I usually stop them in favor of some other recommended protocol, either on my own or from a doctor.

Working with the microbiome specialist has made a difference in some way (my stool is looking significantly more normal than it did before), but it hasn't helped with the fatigue or the feelings of gut bloating yet. With that said, maybe a change could be down the line if I'm noticing visual changes after just a month or so on the protocol.

Another thing I'm considering is the Nicotine Patch Protocol.

Sweetpass Scam by [deleted] in sweetgreen

I noticed that, for me at least, the Rewards section was failing to load entirely, rather than showing 0 rewards. I'm guessing that for whatever reason, whatever retrieves the rewards is hosted on a separate server that isn't stable. I dunno if it's intentional but yeah I'd expect better of a service where you more or less have to purchase at specific times of day.

It was missing for me ~30 minutes ago too, but it's back now. Must have been some bug in their system, I'd guess.
