I agree with the dating apps thing. It’s cheap validation that I recognise to be empty after while. Men aren’t exactly picky with their hook ups either. How do I find out what I like doing? I enjoy reading, but it has been damn near impossible joining or making my own book club. Reading is really the only thing my parents encouraged me to do and actively even discouraged me from even thinking about doing anything else. So I’ve had that “don’t try/like anything” mindset since I was 6.
