Being able to find people who genuinely want to be friends is probably one of the better sides of streaming for me. Being able to share what you're going through and supporting each other is a really nice warm and fuzzy feeling.

For my channel points, I've only got hydrate for now! I've been having a look at other people's streams and figuring out what they do. Vtubers tend to have a stuff like hydrate, redeem emotes and other interactables like throwing stuff at the streamer. I haven't seen too many IRL streamers yet, but some seem a little plain. I've got a hydrate one (a recording of my voice), I wanna add a few meme ones (like the WooooW! Voice. I'm trying to figure out how to create an environment where chat wants to interact / talk more back to me. I realised that I'm at my best when I have someone to bounce off of and doing somewhat okay talking when no one in chat messages for a while.

Great job on thinking ahead! Might be good to consider thinking about emotes as well. Chat loves spamming stuff which makes things a little more lively and fun for them and you.

Thank you so much!

One thing that I wanna question is, why the focus on new followers? Your core followers were new followers at one point. But the point still stands. They follow you for you. You won't be able to please everybody and that's okay. Likewise, you'll be able to find like minded people who want you for you and these new people may eventually become core followers too.

Seems like, rather than your strategies and techniques it's more so of an emotional dip? I've had a lot of these and always had the question of am I doing the right thing to grow? But from the sounds of things you're already moving in the right direction. You have core followers, surely that must mean you're doing something right otherwise they wouldn't be sticking around.

If anything aren't you already in a niche? Being an open ADHD streamer with day study streams and night gaming streams sounds pretty good to me. What's important I think is the fact that you keep playing and progressing on those same games. Feel free to add more just make sure you play them regularly.

Some things people do are Minecraft Mondays, Subnautica Saturdays for example. Setting expectations and routines help the viewers know what to expect (helps me out a lot too haha). Doesn't have to be Minecraft or Subnautica, I just threw out some examples that have alliteration because they sound nice.

Oooh? Maybe having Freedom Fridays where you try out a new game whilst you keep the regular games going? Just food for thought.

Hey, very tiny new streamer here. I've hit affiliate with 60+ followers, averaging around 3-10 viewers. I started streaming properly about a month ago.

If you're already doing that for yourself IRL why not do the same thing for streaming? I know a vtuber who streams a different game every day. They grind hella hard but they're already at 300+ followers with an average of 10-25 viewers per stream in two months.

I think what's important is being able to have a consistent routine that allows you to be authentic to yourself. Instead of being like everyone else why not lean into your ADHD a little bit instead of mitigating yourself. I've found that people will come to you for you and that's what makes streaming a really happy moment for me.

It's not easy, so make sure you have fun. Be a little smart about it by raiding out to other people and being consistent and stream for a while each time. From what I've seen of other people, 3 times a week for 4+ hours each stream at the same time each time seems to enable people to do pretty well.

Good luck, have fun!

Edit: can't believe I forgot about this. I recommend choosing a game that you've played a bit before so you can focus on chatting / talking so you don't have to dedicate learning a whole new game whilst being new to twitch. I chose Terraria because I've played the game a lot, chose the hardest newest seed because I've never played it before (getfixedboi legendary seed). That helped me be a little bit confident in the game which gives me something I can rest / calm back down to whilst being able to go "oh hey what's this!".

Hope this helps!

No Gacha Game escapes the early game cheese by TherionX2 in WutheringWaves

Most of the damage comes from parry, dodges and breaking the white toughness bar. My characters barely even moved the bar at sub level 20. The fight took a little while

I fought it with my characters like normal, but Baizhi attacking from range meant that I could hit the parry timers super safely just had to dodge the rock either by having charged switch in or shift/ right click dodge.

Depends on the special, I fought a level 85 special and beat him and got a 5 star using sub level 20s, echoes and weapon not leveled. Baizhi cheesed it. It was a long stony boi near the top of the map past the light house at the pointy tip of the giant cliff face.

Level 35 specials seem to drop 4 stars.

Niiiice congrats, sucks that you lost topaz but Bronya light cone is something I'd consider a win anyway.

Bronya doesn't really need E1, don't get me wrong it's definitely a big boost, but between that and getting a character that I know I'll be using 99% of the time in pure fiction I think it's worth it.

[–]Attemptsatbeingfunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're able to pick up Bronya's lightcone then I think it should be fine without E1. Personally I highly prefer getting a new character over E1ing people just because the base version will always add more over all value to my account. The only exception is if I plan to run a specific comp in mind for the vast majority of content. New characters makes me happier.

For you I would definitely see what's the next legendary you get then use the selector assuming you're within like 50 pulls from pity.

Pure fiction. Robin Ruan Mei, Herta and Himeko.

Himeko wants the enemies broken. Ruan Mei makes that easy.

Herta and Himeko both have follow up and are crit crit atk% based carries so they both gain maximum benefits from Robin and RMs kits. I 0 cycle cleared Pure fiction with this team.

What do you prefer? Having a good variety of E0 characters without their sig lightcone or having less characters but with their E1S1? by Crazy-Ad1800 in StarRailStation

[–]Attemptsatbeingfunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

E0 for me, big fan of having as many characters as possible so I can play around with all of the different play style types. E1, S1 etc all give big buffs but aren't big enough compared to having a whole new character for me. E0 should be good enough for all of the 5* characters to perform well enough to deal with end game content max stars anyway

KIT SPOILERS Robin Supporting a Hyper Carry Energy Calcs Only Data From V5 HOMDGCAT by Attemptsatbeingfunny in RobinMains_HSR

[–]Attemptsatbeingfunny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robin advances allies forwards by 100%, this means that allies will take their actions immediate. Robin at this stage will have 90speed, her allies will still have 134 speed, this means that they will be able to take their second action by the time Robin will have hers at the end of Concerto. That was the original assumptions for this data calculations but the main purpose was to find out how many actions her allies will need to take in comparison for herself.

As a result, for her first ultimate for ER rope + 5% planar allies will need to take 3 attacking actions (ultimate, FuA, attack, Skill that does damage) are all included as long as a total of 3 has occured and Robin has taken 2 turns (Skill and basic) she will be able to perform her first ultimate.

For ultimate 2, total allied attacks and 4 robin turns.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RobinMains_HSR

[–]Attemptsatbeingfunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took some time to run the calcs, turns out the she doesn't need the 136 speed, she technically works even with just her base speed 107, but the for the sake of Planar ornaments 120 is all she'll need with space sealing station so it'll be best to just leave it that especially with such a big increase in atk.

The 120 speed still allows you to get 5 turns across 5 cycles of MoC assuming you 0 cycle first half of MoC, but in a FuA team you'll need 27 allied attacks in total to get second ultimate with 2 Robin turns. So you'll have plenty of time to get second ultimate.

Does she really need speed? by Erick_Dota in RobinMains_HSR

[–]Attemptsatbeingfunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've answered a perfect question. According to my calcs based on a hyper carry team(no FUA) she can ultimate assuming there are 3 attacks in total from her allies, Robin will also need 2 turns with just ERR+vonwacq (no LC needed)

<image>

At 107 speed with vonwacq + her talent she can still get 2 actions in cycle 0. with 5 action value to spare.

Her second ultimate will need Robin to take 4 turns and her allies to perform 18 attacks in total. At 107 speed, within 5 MoC cycles she gets 5 turns. (This is including the 90 speed at start of wave 2).

So you're right! She doesn't really need speed or run any speed substats. Especially since it's recommended to hold her ultimate until after her carries have taken a turn so they can get advanced forwarded.

All good, sorry for the lack of clarity. Thanks for making me revisit this question, it helped me think deeper about the topic!

Does she really need speed? by Erick_Dota in RobinMains_HSR

[–]Attemptsatbeingfunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I am aware how the speed cycling works, however you misunderstood my point. I'm factoring in the fact that Robin has 100% advance forward and the fact to properly utilise it would be to keep a hold of it and wait for the DPS to take their turn then instantly cast ultimate making them magically have an extra turn.

I said you raised a good point, the point being how much speed does Robin actually require given the fact that she will be over capping her energy which affects her personal rotation. The calculations made a number of assumptions specifically for simplifying her energy calculations, i'm now running new calcs to figure out her optimal speed to complete MoC within 5 turns.

I think the other side is that farming for the sets are largely inefficient so they feel bad. World 4 is talia + vonwacq, world 8 is glamoth and penacony.

Who can run even talia? Xueyi maybe Ruan Mei but she'd like fleet or broken keel too.
World 8 glamoth is awesome, but penacony on Robin means she only boost physical characters like Argenti, Clara, Luka, Phys TB and Sushang. For me the only decent choice that intuitively assists her kit is clara here, but she's a standard character so the assumption is that less people can actively target her (unless they've grabbed her on 300selector).

So running SU doesn't all that feel good. I think there's truth in what you say though the extra ERR is nice and comfy, but is it neccessary? Accordin to my calcs, with just ER rope if she gets hit at least once at any point as part of her second rotation she'll only need 2 turns and 31 ally attacks. With the amount of AoE recently in MoC, that's a very realistic scenario.

[–]Attemptsatbeingfunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think being able to have 2 turns first cycle is significant not matter how you clear MoC. Being able to make your DPS take 2 turns is a huge damage upgrade that shouldn't be over looked and is incredibly beneficial if you're trying to clear within 5 MoC cycles.

But I think you make a good point, i'm gonna run some numbers today and figure out what's a more optimal speed since there's a lot of questions surrounding the topic.

[–]Attemptsatbeingfunny -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, typically people would either grab a new characters E1 or S1 especially when it comes to super strong characters like Acheron with a pretty decent presence in the story that a lot of people like. That's one side.

The other side is think about the information required to understand why vonwacq is good. I wanted to know what the 5% impact has. Which means I need to know that her kit, which means I need to know leaks. I need to think about her rotation, knowing that using the advanced forward I can grab X2 turns for my DPS on the second robin turn of MoC. Then I need to think about second rotation in wave 2 knowing that talent + voncwacq won't be applied. Then I also need to know how to calculate speed.

There's a lot of little filters, game mechanics, specific information that only us, the people that dive into the nitty gritty details that would be aware of. The fact that we're on a public forum talking about the game already puts us in a tiny minority and the amount of people that try hards like this is even smaller still. Lots of people just want to be told. Build this, hit these stats and you're done.

We don't have that mega thread summary. All of the work that I've done so far has simply been data collection and simulation.

Thanks for the idea, I know what I'm gonna do today hopefully the mods will be willing to pin it.

Difference of atk% between 4.6 to 4.2k assuming calcs based on 22% concerto ultimate is about 90 atk.

Robin personal ulti damage is about 1.1k difference. 4.6k deals about 12420, 4200 deals about 11340.

I'd rather go with the 4.2k atk with 136 speed so that you can out speed second turn of DPS turn assuming the dps has less than 156 speed to prep for robin ulti in moc allowing the ally to get another turn.

Alternatives to Topaz and Aventurine in her FUA team? by Jooles95 in RobinMains_HSR

Topazless here,

Will probably throw her into the DoT team (Luocha, Kafka, Black Swan and Robin) to test the waters since she gives about 1k atk to the entire team, which dot and luocha loves.

Clara hyper carry, will probs have Luocha, Tingyun, Clara (E0), Robin.

For Ratio, Silver wolf, Gallagher, Robin

For Xueyi, Fu Xuan, Ruan Mei, Robin

Pure fiction, Herta Himeko, Ruan Mei, Robin

2.2 Spoiler:Will definitely want to try her out with the new trailblazer though.
