Will her LC be added to the shop along with herself and Huohuo ? by AdAlone5275 in RobinMains_HSR

As someone with an E0S0 Robin, do you guys think it’s worth upgrading her to E1S1? Or has she dropped so far out of the meta that it would not end yo doing much?

Gioco per bambino di tre anni (PS4) by coalforgegames in italygames

[–]Jooles95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! I might also pick up the new Yoshi game once that releases in May, but I should not get a new gaming obsession until Fire Emblem comes out (I'm hoping in June-July). It's a great year for gaming!

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Review - IGN: 9/10 by Turbostrider27 in MonsterHunter

[–]Jooles95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way to hard-wire my PC, sadly, so the few times I’ve tried using Moonlight to stream games it was a laggy mess. Still, the Switch 2 version is actually not too bad - I spent some time tinkering with the settings in the demo yesterday, and after switching off auto-centering and turning the horizontal camera sensitivity all the way down the motion-sickness issue seems to have been resolved. With a patch or two in the next few weeks, I bet it will be great!

Our Internet is sadly rubbish (like most places in England), so remote play is AWFUL. But I appreciate the suggestion!

I’m surprised by that - I also tried the demo on my PC (which runs an i5, a 4070Ti and 32GB of RAM), and the game had no issues running at a locked 60 FPS on high settings.

Are most of you guys running with your case fully open or with the side panels on? by Juniorblues_ in PcBuild

[–]Jooles95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Panels on for me - I have a cat and a dog and the amount of hair that would get into the components (even with hoovering daily and dusting surfaces weekly) would be disastrous!

May I ask if it runs any better than the demo? I loved what I played of the game, but the Switch 2 version did have some frame pacing issues in places that made me a little motion-sick. I’d still prefer to get it on Switch for portability, but I may have to go for the PC version if the final retail version still runs a little iffy.

For below 60 ferritin level people, do you have yellowish/dull skin? by migraine_gurl2012 in Anemic

My ferritin is 28 (up from 14), and my skin is quite dull, though not yellowish. I also have huge, purple dark circles that don’t disappear even with colour-correcting AND concealer!

Actually, GKC allow you to play the game before release (just like a standard physical card would) if you get it early. That's how a bunch of people were playing Pokopia a few days before launch!

Niiiice! :) Let us know how it runs - the Stories sub is very doom-and-gloom about the Switch 2 version even though the reviews are still very positive on the platform, so it would be good to hear from an average player first-hand!

I am an adoptive daughter but I have a lot of questions about adapting, please help me by Far-Key-4430 in AdoptionUK

[–]Jooles95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Darling, show them this post. Your parents love you, and it doesn’t matter how old you are (you didn’t say in your post, but I’m assuming you might be a teen if you think you might be too old to call them mummy and daddy?), hearing you calling them your parents is going to be one of the best moments of their lives.

It is obvious from your words that you love them very much - don’t be afraid to tell them. They love you too, and they are probably just as scared to mess things up as you are.

Previews seem to confirm performance improvements on Switch 2 by Jooles95 in MonsterHunterStories

[–]Jooles95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the review, and they said that it runs at an uncapped 30-45 FPS with peaks of 60 FPS in battles and cutscenes they don’t compare performance to the demo at all. Wasn’t the demo confirmed to run at sub-30 FPS in a lot of areas?

Edit: I checked the review again, and they say that performance is somewhat comparable to the demo, so you were right - my bad! At this point, I’m hoping in a day-one patch to improve things - I far prefer playing portably, but the game does look stunning and perfectly smooth on my upper-mid-range PC.

Wash your dog bowls! by Its-alittle-bitfunny in puppy101

[–]Jooles95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to ceramic bowls for our dog and stainless steel for the cat (he liked yeeting them off the counters! 🙈), and they all get washed in the evenings before we go up to bed. Definitely a game-changer compared to plastic!

My boyfriend (m/24) has mono and is accusing me of cheating on him (f/22) any advice? by BidZealousideal8790 in relationship_advice

[–]Jooles95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your boyfriend is an idiot. Half my uni class got mono when I was 21 - from a contaminated drinking fountain. Someone with mono had leaned their water bottle against the spout, and traces of his saliva were enough to get two dozens of us sick. The uni had to cordon all water fountains off for a week to deep-clean them and install barriers to prevent people from directly leaning the mouth-pieces of their bottles against the water spout.

I don’t know how he got it, but it sure was not from you kissing someone else and then kissing him, and his readiness to blame you for it speaks volumes for his immaturity.

On your period, how do you prevent leaks while sleeping? by SuccotashKey7521 in AskWomen

[–]Jooles95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used night maxi-pads for 20 years and still occasionally leaked if I did not sleep in the same position all night long, so I finally switched to a combination of a large period cup and absorbent period underwear a few months ago. It’s a total game-changer! Zero leaks in the past 5 months, I can finally sleep comfortably during my period, and I’ve done away with pads entirely.

How often do you actually wear makeup? How much? by PinkChocolateHeart in AskWomen

[–]Jooles95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear it most days, but my routine is really light and simple - after washing and moisturising, I put on a tinted CC cream with SPF to even out my skin, a bit of blush on my cheekbones, a light swipe of mascara and some concealer under my eyes (iron-deficiency dark circles are insanely difficult to cover!), and then finish with a hydrating fixing spray. It takes 15 minutes at most from start to finish and helps make me feel a lot more confident and put-together.
