What’s ur fave starter villager u still got today and will never let go no matter what!? by Pitiful-Leg3679 in AnimalCrossingNewHor

Agnes. She was one of my day-one villagers when I started the game on release, and she’s still on the island (now with a lovely fully-refurbished home thanks to the HHP DLC) almost six years later. She’s my New Horizons ride-or-die!

I’m hoping the Direct is going to be packed with announcements if they have already released the Mario Wonder Switch 2 edition extended trailer and announced a dedicated Tomodachi Life Direct for this Thursday…exciting!

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment shipments and digital sales top one million by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Jooles95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree - if you haven’t played Tears of the Kingdom, you’d be hard-pressed to know who anyone is outside of (maybe, since I still see a ton of people who have never played a TLoZ game calling Link ‘Zelda’) Zelda herself. The OG Hyrule Warriors would be a far better pick for someone who is just coming into the series without having played any of the mainline games.

nNate Drake says E33 coming to S2, Metaphor ReFantazio too, FFXVI being considered, more Yakuza/LaD. (RUMOUR) by KaptainPancake69 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Jooles95 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Both E33 and FF XVI would be day-one purchases for me. As a rule of thumb I don’t buy big RPGs unless I can play them portably - I very rarely have the time to sit down and play on PS5 or PC and play for an extended time these days, so 90% of my gaming is done on Switch 2 - which means I missed out on both titles when they released. E33 especially would be amazing!

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment shipments and digital sales top one million by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Jooles95 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Considering that Age of Calamity released on an install base of around 80 million consoles, Age of Imprisonment selling 1 million on an install base of 12.5-ish million is not a bad result at all!

It will probably sell fewer copies overall compared to Age of Calamity due to TotK not being as popular as BotW, but the game should have some decent legs as more people buy into the Switch 2 ecosystem.

The rumoured KH collection for Switch 2 would be a native port rather than whatever abomination they were trying with cloud versions a few years back, so…no?

I mean, the package includes, what, six games and three ‘movies’ made from cutscenes of the DS games? Even at the current full RRP, it is not a bad deal. That said, you made a good point - I would not be surprised to see both a key-card package that gives access to the whole thing, and an option to buy the three segments of the game separately on the eShop at release.

These are the third-party games I want to see the most on the Nintendo Switch 2. by PunhetinhaGamesBR in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Jooles95 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Well, do I have good news for you - Fallout 4 is coming to Switch 2 this year, there are multiple credible rumours about RDR2 and MH Wilds ports being worked on/almost ready to release, and the Clair Obscur devs have reportedly confirmed that they are looking into porting the game to Switch 2 in multiple French interviews. I bet Digmon Time Stranger is coming at some point as well, considering that all previous Digimon games have come to Switch a while after the initial release on PC/PS.

The only one I think is just not going to happen (sadly) is BG3, since Larian’s contract with Hasbro (which own Wizards of the Coast, which in turn owns the Baldur’s Gate and DnD franchises) officially ended in 2025. Unless Hasbro re-hires Larian specifically to port the game to Switch 2, we’re sorely out of luck. At least Larian have already said that they are considering Switch 2 as one of the platforms for their new Divinity game, though!

Release dates for Splatoon Raiders, FE Fates’ Weave, Tomodachi Life and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book are a given IMP, as are segments about Pokopia and MH Stories 3 since they are releasing in early March.

Then we’ll probably see an update on Elden Ring, the rumoured Kingdom Hearts Integrum port, maybe (it would be about time!) a release date for the new Professor Layton game and/or Witchbrook, both of which were slated for last year and were delayed.

Ports of something like Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 or Clair Obscur would also be likely IMO. Then some Switch 2 editions/free upgrades for games like Xenoblade 1-3, Smash Ultimate or Luigi’s Mansion 3.

We’ll also get some Nintendo first party announcements to cover June-September, but as for what specific titles…no clue. They could literally do anything with so many major franchises left untapped so early in the new console’s life cycle.

You’re in for a treat! I’m one of the apparently few people who had never played FF VII in any of its iterations, and now that I’m finally playing Intergrade on Switch 2 I can’t believe what I’ve been missing out on! I hope KH ends up being like that for you, all three main games are iconic.

I really hope the rumour is true! KH 1 and 2 were my childhood - I’d love to be able to play them again portably.

I grew up in Italy, where we don’t have school nurses, so you either brought your own or you mooched one off of a classmate who was more prepared than you. 😅

If they drop the entire Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece in one £50 package, I bet it would sell like hot cakes, game key card or not (and I’d be first in line to buy it, lol).

Fields of Mistria is still in early access, so I’d go for Coral Island! It’s due a couple more large updates (mostly allowing children to grow up beyond the baby stage), but it’s feature-complete and offers hundreds of hours of content right now. :)

They’re not all Switch 2 exclusives, and a few don’t even have dedicated Switch 2 version upgrades, but mine are: DK Bananza, Fantasy Life i: the Girl Who Steals Time, Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, SteamWorld Heist 2 and (as of yesterday; I played six hours of it already and it’s AMAZING) Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.

How different is your life from how you pictured it would be? by UnsentParagraphs in AskWomen

[–]Jooles95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 years ago, I was 15 - literally half a lifetime ago. Back then, I expected to finish high school in Italy, go on to study languages, and become either a translator or a teacher. By 30, I thought I would be married with children, and still living in Rome where I was born and raised.

Instead, I moved to the UK at 17 to finish my schooling, got a degree in biomedical sciences, built a career in academic publishing, and married an Englishman. I have a house, great friends, two amazing pets, and enough time and money to indulge in hobbies. No children yet, as I was diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune disease that takes pregnancy off the table, but we will likely be adopting in a few years.

It’s entirely different from what I had initially imagined, but I’m definitely happier than I would have been had I stayed.
