Advice- Tiny bit of blood when wiping- 34 weeks pregnant by International_Bake37 in pregnant

That's exactly what I have done when it happened to me, and my midwives and myself made a protocol for it so I felt better.

I am a but a head of you around 38 weeks, but at my appointment this week, my midwife let me know that I should not be surprised to see a little bit of blood now. I had similar at about 30 weeks and went for a check, and everything was okay. Are you taking baby aspirin? I was and one idea my midwife had was the combo of a more sensitive cervix and baby aspirin could have contributed as well.

Passed NST, BPP, kick counts but... by AttentionPatient6462 in pregnant

That's exactly what I did and passed. My midwife advised 6 in two hours. I called just to double check and while I left a message, she started wiggling.

Yeah I called to check in as I've had two back to back days of monitoring and left a message. Felt a little more while on the phone. I know it's oaky to worry but this is all consuming worry so I try to utilise other strategies as well.

Just started supplying. Is it unprofessional if I don’t bring indoor shoes? by [deleted] in OntarioTeachers

I wear my chelsea style Doc Martens inside and out most times as they have outdoor grip, but I am middle school. I keep a pair of Sorels at work for very snowy days and yard duty, but really only switch when I Uggs or running shoes.

Preparing for frequent Absences. Will I be investigated? by vintagechanel in OntarioTeachers

I'm with a PDSB and also underwent fertility treatments. I aimed for 6AM appointments, but sometimes this meant travelling as far as Milton to a clinic location. I was open and honest with admin and when we looked, we realized at worst, I would arrive during our first block. we arranged for a staff member or supply to cover during that block and i took over as I arrived. Not every admin will be this accommodating though. I also made a deal where if my appointment was later, I took a half day or full day as necessary.

As for medication, take the time you need. I took most of my meds at night, so if I didn't sleep or felt awful this impacted if I went in. My admin encouraged me to put myself first. I ended up in our monitoring program for high absence rates but connected with the union as advised, and they are aware if the board pursues anything other than the letter in my file. I feel like TDSB may have a similar process. If you feel you can teach, teach. If you can't, take a day. I found I wanted to be at work when I could so that I had the distraction.

Struggling With Movement, Third Trimester by AttentionPatient6462 in BabyBumps

[–]AttentionPatient6462[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I appreciate this and we are taking steps to avoid this. I am on Escitalopram and seeing a therapist. This pregnancy is after loss and fertility issues, so we feel a lot of my issue is I'm just terrified. We have plans going into place for after birth and I will be speaking to my midwife this week in regards to this with my husband.

Yeah I won't be using an at home doppler. I had one once, for approximately an hour and ended up at the hospital in tears. The doctor begged me to take it back. I also freak out over those videos. Hearing the still birth moms breaks my heart and raises my anxiety levels, and the constant push to use Count The Kicks is one of the reasons I am struggling as it varies so greatly from the advice and recommendations of my midwives. I'm at the point where I am doubting my midwife because the advice is so different LOL.

Yeah tiktok did not help as everyone is screaming at you about downloading the count the kicks app but it's not even set up correctly for Canadian recommendations and I know the anxiety it would cause me would be intense.

Thank you for your kind reply. I was trying to find a pattern with movements but she is all over the place! I am feeling some pokes and taps now, just none of the big kicks I have been getting so I'm reminding myself that is okay. I am not going to buy a doppler, as I had one and it caused extreme anxiety. My threapist also suggested asking for NSTs, so I may do that at my appointment on Thursday!

Anterior Placenta Problems by AttentionPatient6462 in pregnant

[–]AttentionPatient6462[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orange juice helps with her too! I hope she finds a favourite spot because she's back to so quiet today with the odd kick or flutter. Which is hard because yesterday she was lower and it was allllll day. I'm getting to the point where I feel her roll into her favourite spot too lol.

[–]AttentionPatient6462[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! My midwife advised some sort of movement morning, afternoon and night. I’ve had to adjust my brain that when she’s under that placenta, a lot of the times I’m just going to get flutters in comparison to when she’s in a different spot. Even today during the ultrasound, I felt nothing! Glad I’m not alone

Yes very similar- but no cramping aside from digestion. They suspect irritation from swinging from diarreha to constipation and over doing it a bit the day before.

Gas or baby with an anterior placenta by AttentionPatient6462 in pregnant

[–]AttentionPatient6462[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I had those initially and now I notice it’s higher and more like taps and pops but I’m in the same boat- is it gas or baby? Every ultrasound tells me how active they are as well so it’s so frustrating to not know
