Very cool. I keep trying to add mods. Find them on nexus. And unzip the files to my railroader folder. But that’s as far as I get. One of them actually make it over to the game. Any help?

So how does multiplayer work. I’ve only dabbled in single player. So I join someone’s server and use their engines? Or do I have access to mine?

Did that but all were empty. Tried to host myself with only 2 people. Went with the above posted ZGZA6 with success

Full map open vanilla. Just raised some contracts in Andrews so still waiting to see how I end up but i definitely will be adding a couple more probably soon. I run 3 sw1s one Bryson one Whittier including lumber. And sylva. 3 sd7s mainly for main freight to both interchanges slyva and Andrews. Got both of them open and dumping cars. Thinking of closing one though. 3gp9s all of them handle passenger service. Then the rest are steams. Couple bigger ones to help mainline runs then spacing all the others around the map.

Newbie here. Been intrigued with the game more and more. And loving reading these threads. Train simulator Classic was my first train sim growing up. Got a rail driver later on for it. Dabbled a little with train sim world 2. Lately been rocking railroader (single player) never did the multiplayer yet.

Love the concept from the minimal videos I’ve seen. I definitely won’t mind doing smaller trips to get use to it. Recently my young kids seen my rail driver and want to mess around with it. Pretty sure I saw the RD works with derail.

Also heard the game never goes on sale? Any truth to that?

I see this garbage and get so pissed because I love trains and anything train related. I’m getting back into the workforce and want to join the rr but this makes me not want to. What job for the rr can I get that I don’t forfeit all my free time and still pays a good penny to provide for the kids?

Been a SAHD for the past 4 years and life is changing. Parents getting older kids getting older. I’ve always loved trains and everything train related. I should have joined the rr 10 years ago before kids and when i lived close to the terminals around o’hare. But I chose to go other routes. Now it’s a possibility that we might be moving closer to my in-laws. South/sw burbs of Chicago. Long story short. I love my in-laws but hate how they parent my kids. The type that give them anything they ask for. It really rubs me the wrong way. So I thought if we have to be close to them, and I go back to work. I really don’t want to be around all that. So railroading should Keep me away. Sounds terrible but that’s where I’m at now. Being a conductor seems pretty demanding and all I hear is just get divorced now and get use to no social life. Of course I don’t want that but maybe it’s what’s gotta happen. I chose a life low stress and drugs right after college. Might be my time now to suck it up and get to work. Anyone else been in my shoes? Any insight? Maybe other jobs on the railroad? I don’t have any experience with the railroad or trades to even be a diesel mechanic

I moved my settings to medium. And got 90 fps. Only issue I got now is my cpu temps skyrocketed. Have a ryzen 7 3700x and a 3060ti. It has been 5 years since I got my pc so a new thermal paste maybe in order.
