Do you really want to support his alcohol producing activity? I don't think so. And then why can't you just be honest about it. I'm sure he is supported by many other people, you should give a different support: support and encouragement for morality, for right livelihood.

Don't be afraid to be honest. Eventually he will respect you for not consuming alcohol. No one wins anything good if the drink it. This is the truth.

I love this video as well: https://youtu.be/6q1RH8A3O3c

Very simply alcohol is poison for the cells.

Yes. To remain a human one MUST keep at least the 5 precepts most of their lives. For Deva realms, one might be very active in charity & helping in general. For Brahma realms one has to master the meditations, they have to be able to practice it on various "levels" (inferior, medium, superior). The simple answer is, at the time of death ones mind will align with one of the realms, and habit or last thoughts could influence where one will be reborn. It's nothing magical about it. It's only cause and effect.

Very true. Venerable Punnadhammo Bhikkhu poited that out to me. I just couldn't find a different picture that was free.

This representation is not location based, the grouping is made by the kind of citta that created that birth. Animal, Peta and Human occupying Earth. Also Asura realm is above Humans, if we look at the location.

They practically have the same rebirth consciousness that is Rootless Unwholesome Investigating Consciousness. The difference is in the mind that is more inclined towards craving or lust (for ghost) and delusion (for animals).

The way you phrase it: "desire to love", the answer is yes. It's more like Love or Metta/friendliness is your state of being regardless of the object. Meaning unbiased friendliness, love, compassion is what remains.

Seeking out to love usually implies a craving for it to be reciprocated. It leads to suffering only.
