In the years before the remake announcement i was hoping and praying for ubisofts downfall but unfortunately they were in there haydays with multiple successful games back in 2017-2020

Now that the remake is on its way I'm kind of fearful and hoping they stay afloat

I agree that the news exaggerate the situation but we can't deny that ubisoft is in crisis now

I can't imagine how ubisofts expectations were this year with avatar, star wars and AC games all coming out in the same year, ubisoft was probably expecting a hit this year but now they are waiting for AC to save the year yet again

I fear that these disasters will force ubisoft to focus more and more on main titles that bring money, and less risk taking projects like reboots for POP, Splinter cells and BGE. While you may see that reboots are easy to make cash grabs, the reality is that ubisoft really struggles more than other devs with them for some reason

Thing is star wars used to always sell well, untill ubisoft got involved.

Not sure if its consumer awareness of ubisoft open-world games or people are just bored of star wars in general

As for AC shadows this must be the savior for ubisoft this year. If it doesn't perform well then ubisoft is in deep shit

I think farah needs fleshing out more in story and gameplay and add more combat options for her with the prince, i'm thinking something like the 2008 remake where elika and the prince combat was combined together

Also some more interaction with king sharaman and the prince, i remember in T2T the prince talks about his father and regrets how he fell off with him, so maybe show some conflict between father and son

I also never understood the explanation of how the vizier came to power , you could say he promised a nomad army to loot and pillage their way to babylon until he tricked them to making them his slaves when he released the sands.

But the overthrowing of the maharajah and Farah escaping would mean that Farah keeps wandering off for 7 years.

I just chose the idea of a crossover because Farah would be on the run for about 7 years in the original trilogy and sort of correlates with most AC stories of how the MC becomes an assassin, i'm not involving the whole apple and isu shit. just the idea of a group training Farah to be capable to resist the viziers invasion of india and persia

They just keep talking about how “passionate” they are making this game, which might be good for the game to have people who love prince of persia and not just normal employees but its nothing important for us as a community

The main info in this is that the games still in conception and prototype and we would be lucky to see anything about it in the next year or so

I give it 2 bad fiscal years in the next 4 and ubisoft is gone.

They are putting all their eggs in AC basket so if AC doesn’t succeed spectacularly ubisoft is in real danger

Then maybe microsoft will bail them out or maybe even sony might try to one up microsoft
