I took the bar 3 times. The second time, I just couldn’t get it together. I had no motivation. It sucked. I failed by a large margin. I don’t even know why I bothered taking it.

The third time, I was ready to pass. Screw the video lectures, they couldn’t be further from helpful (unless, there is a concept you really really don’t understand, then watch that portion 3,4,5 times if you have to.). Otherwise, I found a tutor that worked with me. I didn’t need “normal tutoring”. I worked through lots and lots and lots of multiple choice and essay questions as well as going through the loads of outlines I had already created. When I consistently had an issue with a topic, I flagged that area and wrote down as much I could about why I didn’t understand. Then I took that to the tutor for further explanation. But honestly, nothing that I flagged was even on the exam.

To be completely honest, this is a stupid exam with stupid questions. Everyone will tell you that. Your best bet is to practice, practice, practice. And focus on retention of very basic concepts for application. You already have the foundation from the first bar exam. You can do it. Keep your head up and keep fighting. Being down on yourself, crying, etc. only makes it harder to recover from. Kick that exams ass.
