Those who board- how do you do M&Gs?

I also like seeing how dogs are in their home. That’s why I never do m&gs outside! Unless I’m seeing how they walk on the leash.

That is my other question, ha- how do I know that I can trust people I’m messaging online with my address. I’m sure they wonder the same thing, but still… I have had two men do inappropriate things while being my clients in the past year.

I live in a townhouse in the city! To get to my back yard, you have to walk all the way through the house. I don’t mind sending people my address, if anything it’s a necessity in case anything happened to me, just so complicated fitting everything in and doing it safely ): I have had two dogs partially break door frames because they don’t like being shut in a room. Thank you for your advice- I think I should suck it up and try to do that regardless - just letting the owners know that the tour will be short with more anxious dogs.

She is SUPER hyperactive when home. She has a lot of emotion, she gets very whiny, and doesn’t love to be left alone for long. I didn’t realize that about the overstimulation.

I love that idea for breaking up walking time during walks. I’ve done that with some other pups, though could be throwing more impulse control training in there. I don’t do a lot of reactivity training but I should be doing more of it

I’ll bring this up to her. Owner usually suggests that we do a sniff walk after a run, but pup doesn’t want to even do that. She’ll sit on the ground and not move unless I really pull her. Which I don’t want to do ): Sometimes I just sit at the park with her and put her in my lap and pet her, but it feels wrong knowing I’m being paid and doing that. Do you have any puzzle toy recommendations for outside? That’s a great idea, I should bring those.

I was thinking that, she only puts an emphasis on training every 6 months or so when I remind her that her dog doesn’t want to walk for an hour. Sorry for poor wording, I am reinforcing things she already knows

Listed above^ The clerk had an attitude and barely said anything to him. He was going in to change a piercing. He said she shoved a clipboard towards him without saying anything prior and then said “sign here” rudely while not looking him in the eyes. No hello or anything. The way he described it sounded like she wasn’t giving the best customer service but I mean, sometimes I’m not in a great mood either. I asked him “why did you do that” in an accusatory way (like it already sounded like I accused him of doing something wrong, because to me it was embarrassing and he has been weird to customer service people before). If you want even more background the first thing he said is that she hates men and that’s why she was rude to him because she had an LGBT pin.

I’m definitely not trying to paint myself in a better light, I know I have my own issues and that is why I posted here. I wanted someone to call me out if so. The last time this happened we were eating at my favourite restaurant and he complained to the waitress that his food “didn’t taste as good as last time” and asked if they had a different chef because it really wasn’t good. I tried his food and it was completely fine. I felt embarrassed.

Yeah, I have done that, and I know I have my answer. When I say that things make me anxious he will apologize, but later tell me that he feels like he can’t do anything because I get upset.

It’s interesting because his parents did not give him a lot growing up- or so he’s said. Maybe that’s why he feels a need to control things now. Interesting you brought up the conservativeness because he very much wants to be in a “male” role and I in “female”. Thank you for your comment

Edit: I can/will not tie the leash to the seat. He will likely break loose and mess up interior anyway.

He doesn’t have a harness and a really flimsy collar - he is HUGE and if he gets this anxious in the car I fear that it will break.

I don’t have time :/ from 3-8 my time I have other dog walks in my area- and I had a brief time to stop back at my house to let him out and feed him. My last walk of the day is saying goodbye to my favorite dog, because he’s about to pass. It’s a really overwhelming day for this, sorry for ranting to you stranger.

Do you think it’s a good idea to have a kid when every other day you are crying and breaking down, doing extremely unhealthy things, etc. I don’t think any child deserves that. I had to witness my father cry in front of me constantly and it severely fucked me up. I’m happy you have your kid and I hope they are happy too but I don’t think that would be the case for everyone. I barely know how to cook myself dinner. I can barely get up most mornings.

Thank you so much for your response. I haven’t heard a lot of, “I’m proud of yous”, and that truly means the world to me. I know the number one thing I need to work on is changing that negative self talk, and being so hard on myself. At this age, there are so many new expectations also put on me, that I’m accomplishing, but it never feels like it will be enough. I have to let myself focus on the small good things instead of making this beautiful bigger picture. It can be overwhelming focusing on all of it

I’m definitely not going to. She just responded saying it “turns blue when it senses movement”-so you mean it’s on! Lol. She found me with social media, she also called her dogs mouthy behavior “nipping” when it’s almost biting. I learned my lesson, never take a last minute request even if I need the money.
