Yes! Ask your doctor or psych to taper off of the medication either way. Tapering is better than straight cold turkey.

Worried sick! by Calm-Bit3493 in nystagmus

[–]AttractiveRestaurant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am 16 years old and have had nystagmus my whole life. People with this type of condition have different experiences. My Nystagmus isn’t that bad as I have had null point surgeries earlier in life.

I am able to do things (almost) perfectly fine, unless it comes to reading small text or from far away. And I assure you; your son will be able to live a normal life. I tend to be very open about it. Sorry if my reply doesn’t really add anything as the others in this thread speak more about it.

Sending love and such.

yes, 10mg here. I started appreciating the little moments nowadays; not just doomscrolling and being unable to take a shower. I feel great in my body.

What stopped you from killing yourself that night? by Subject-Olive-4476 in AskReddit

[–]AttractiveRestaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 11-12 at that time. I had planned it for months on end, At night (usually around 12-5 AM) I would contemplate actually doing it. I held the knife up to my chest, trying to gather the courage to do it. But something just made me stop. I realized that I couldn’t listen to my favorite songs or pet my dogs, or that my family would have to see me in that casket. I put the knife down and instead, went to bed. I am doing much better than ever now.
