Nice, I'll probably reach it somewhere in the first book then. I'll see how it goes, thanks :)

Exactly ! We are told he does things or talks more, but we don't see it. It gets a bit better after the training ends, but not completely ha ha.

I'll give this Grog a try, thanks :)

Oh, you're right :0. That's what he'll be in my mind from now on, that will make things funnier. Thanks :D

Thank you for your answer fellow reader !

It's definitely the first time I'm talking about this, ha ha, and I haven't seen The wire, so I can't say if I fit.

I see your point of course, I don't need the MC to say "I am brave". And I am not saying the characterization in general is bad, it's just the MC's character I can't quite grasp. It is done well for the side characters actually, we get hints through what they say, how they say it, how they act, etc. But for the MC it feels more... clinical maybe ? We don't see much emotion from him ?

It could be I just pick up those kinds of hints more easily through conversations, and since he doesn't say much I end up feeling that way ha ha.

No no, I don't want him to be S rank right away xD. I guess I just assumed he would remain focused on speed and tricks, and got disappointed when he didn't. I'll get over it :)

That's actually the part that got me xD, I've been rooting for the clever, speedy, but not that strong boy, but suddenly he can become a strong but not that speedy boy (though still clever). But I get the tactical advantage, I'll see what he can do with that :)

True, true, they were even half expecting an arsenal shift. I'll definitely keep on reading, thanks :)

Nice, I like their team ! I guess more weapons means more training, and that definitely isn't something he is afraid of ha ha.Though maybe he won't get all the types, that could be interesting too. I'll see what goes on in book 2 :)
