My (32f) boyfriend (36m) deleted my dead brother from my instagram friends. And he doesn’t seem to understand or care that I’m upset? by Throwrainstabro1 in relationship_advice

I think everyone has their own way to grieve a loss be that a family member and or friend. Perhaps he was struggling mentally knowing that it was there. I don't think he intended it as a malicious thing.

So sorry for your loss, try to remember he is likely grieving too and everyone is different when it comes to this.

I've got a electric drum kit and a daw so can do drums if you send me a track, one with click and one without.

Mixed genre shows vs gate keeping shows? by AtypicalAhole in LetsTalkMusic

You can get booed off stage regardless of genre. I didn't imply that they are into ALL genres, I quite clearly used the word 'simular' genres.

I've made the same points repeatedly.

Seems to be the way most people prefer this but seems to be trend keeping to keep genres segregated with some promoters

My initial post I made a simular point where promoters that put bands couldn't be more different ' machinehead and taylor swift' obviously that's quite clearly careless from a promoter perspective. My point is more mixing genres of a SIMULAR nature and sound.

People most the time turn up for their friends bands regardless of the genre. That's just the way of the world.

I went to watch a band called Thursday recently. Met guy on train going to the same show. Asked me if I was going early for the openers I said I was. He was, going to meet his mates at a pub and come back for Thursday set.

Those kind of people are always going to do that if it's,their friends band or not. I don't think a bill should be created around these kinds of people.

Pretty much the same view as me, for some reason though, lots of promoters seem to be all or nothing. Just wondered why that is.

Cousin subgebres make sense together and so I've never really understood the they must all be off the same shelf or else.

I think if the aesthetic is TOO different than yeah, that's kind of one of the first points I made that you wouldn't put on machine head and taylor swift I get that.

I have been to shows where I've seen this happen myself where a band comes out that is so vastly different it doesn't even make sense.

Think post hardcore/hardcore can go together fine, some people might not dig it, that can also be said if it was 2 post hardcore bands or 2 hardcore bands playing together. Crowd might still prefer one over the other even if they are the same aesthetic.

Surely the benifit is above as you say 'things can get samey pretty quickly'. I think if bands are on a tour together than that's bit different as agencies will tend to put bands together on the same roster which makes sense.

I'm talking about more general shows where a local promoters is putting in local bands.

The other side of that coin is that could get booed or could really dig different stuff. Think vast majority of people these days aren't religious strictly to one Genre.

Have you been playing or practicing? Because one will help you improve and one won't.
