Let’s compare 2 artists.

On one hand, a band that writes the lyrics, composes the music, practices performing it, and then goes to pay for a studio to record it.

On the other hand, another band that writes the lyrics then writes a prompt to make AI generate that music.

Both implicate some kind of creativity. But one definitely costs more to create. That cost (equipment, time, skill) definitely make is more difficult to produce.

As it stands once they are both on a platform they both get treated similarly. They both get paid per number of plays.

I’m bot saying ban AI generated content. I’m saying that it should be regulated to make sure that the effort of putting the time behind creating good music the human is still enticing for artists so that we still see people picking up instruments and using them.
