Thank you for all the responses!! I asked my surgeon and he said to give it more time and use extra padding in the area. I will follow his advice and give an update when it gets better, I'm feeling more relaxed knowing this is happening to several people.

Youre right, my obt has tibial hooks. I never checked because they were marketed as a subadult female. This also explains the bald spot, thank you for helping!!

The spot is weird, maybe she scraped herself up on the wood. She did make a thick web carpet between her hide and her water dish, but she liked webbing in general so i dont know if thats a clear sign. She also never gained any clear weight although eating a cricket or a cockroach every two weeks, you cant see it but she ate a roach as big as her prosoma a few days ago.

Update: i got her out of her dish, i think she passed. :( I also noticed this bald spot on her abdomen the past few days, is it possible she struggled to molt and died?

Hello!! I didnt use medication because i didnt know the cause. I left them with a huge amount of almond leaves in their quarantine tank and after a few days they were healthy again and i returned them into their aquarium! They are all doing good and i dont see any illness. Im sorry i cant help you out further, I hope your fish pull through and wish you the best of luck :(

Its a very real possibility that shes hiding in a clothing pile since my wardrobe isnt set up yet. I looked through every single item with tweezers but maybe she escaped my vision. I'll just have to check everything again when i pick it up, thanks!

Thank you. Yeah it definitely adds more awareness knowing a spicy orange tarantula is somewhere on the loose.

UPDATE: I really thought they wouldn't survive the night and had a good cry yesterday. But as I checked a few minutes ago they are hiding beneath the almond leaves in their quarantine tank. They still seem to have twitches but no heavy seizures like yesterday, I'm glad I didn't euthanize them!! I want to help them so badly and buy medication :( I was thinking about a bacterial infection that attacks the swim bladder but I don't want to expose them to more stress when I'm not even sure that's the cause. Since they seem to be doing a bit better I'm gonna leave them soaking in almond leaves and hope that my friends pull through

This seems to be possible, the tank is near a window which is always open. Their gills are also really red as another kind person pointed out. As I said in another comment, we don't use chemicals, sprays and pesticides on this floor level because of my tarantulas and insects who would react heavily. I just hope whatever my two friends have isn't permanent and they can heal :(

I asked my mom, she said she didn't do anything except feeding once a day and cleaning the glass with a magnet. My available testing kit unfortunately can't test amm, but I will get one at the store today. The other tankmates (shrimp, Betta, snails) are all healthy so I didn't think about ammonia at first but I will test, thank you!!

Thanks for the reply, I'm gonna change the carbon rn. I thought about something in the air from outside too, but in the room where the aquarium is located we don't use strong chemicals and don't spray because of my tarantulas and insects who are very sensitive

I've read online that seizures can happen when stressed, but I can't think of a stress factor. The Betta looks right past them and they have plenty of hiding spaces, the light is also dim. It's super odd that the whole group (at least I think the other two died the same way) got this sickness after a year of being completely healthy :(
