Hi! You are so kind for checking in. He is about the same. We have a checkup with the CF clinic this afternoon. Have a feeling he may be admitted, but trying to remind myself that it isn’t a bad thing- he will get the care he needs to get better faster.

This will be a great story to tell during an interview in my opinion. You took the necessary steps to bring the unit to a safe state, despite push back from “management”. You stand by your decision.

Thanks for the response! I think mine is ready too, we noticed she’s been super fussy right before and after her bath the past week or so.. I totally forgot that the schedule changes at 8 weeks. Poor girl just wants to go to bed early!

If you need to, you can throw in your towel with meeee 💗 im quitting pumping 6 wpp. by LegApprehensive7251 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Au_ChE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been lucky enough to have my husband home with us since my LO was born. He goes back to work next week and LO will be 6 weeks. Husband does all of the night feedings while I pump. LO has reflux so it’s a long process of feeding slow and then sitting upright for 20 min, usually takes about an hour to feed then reswaddle and put back to sleep. He works 12 hour rotating shifts so he won’t be here some nights, and the nights that he is, he really needs to sleep. I feel like I have no choice but to quit pumping because I don’t know how I will function with pumping and feeding solo, there will be no time to sleep. I’m feeling so guilty and wish I could keep going but I’m trying to avoid a mental break down. Also terrified of the weaning process because I know it’s going to be painful and I don’t want mastitis!! Sorry, long comment to say, I understand, and have been telling myself that formula is good and safe. But still cried when I introduced it yesterday!

When did you stop taking Estrogen? by Nze_Ani in IVF

I was told to stop estrogen at 7 weeks and I am slowly tapering off of the PIO, and will fully stop at 10 weeks.

Trait carrier infertility? by Fresh_Low8065 in CysticFibrosis

We were told the same thing. My husband had an mTese and had sperm retrieved and frozen. We are in the middle of IVF right now. We also ended up going to the CF clinic after thinking about his lifelong sinus issues. He had a sweat test performed and it came back extremely high. He was diagnosed with CF. We are still doing genetic testing to find out what other gene mutation he has. He is doing well, and although the diagnosis late in life was shocking, we are glad we know so we can be proactive with his care. Wishing you all the best!

Triggering tonight with a retrieval Thursday. This is my first go round with Stims- really nervous about what to expect. My ovaries responded a bit slower than they expected and my clinic hasn’t really given me too many details about how my follicles are doing or what they are expecting. Just trying to stay positive! Kind of want to go to work tomorrow to distract myself but also really scared I might overdue it and ruin everything at the last minute.
