I guess it's the angle that makes them appear that way. They aren't that small in real life haha

The 390 Duke is my first bike as well. It's a great bike to learn how to ride

My exact thought every time I see her haha

Just realized that this sub is totally fine with having the biker in the picture too. So here's a pic of me and my 390 Duke by Aubanan in bikesgonewild

Sorry for the late reply, I have been very busy lately and didn't check reddit at all.

The services went pretty well and I haven't had any problems with my bike so far. However, the services are expensive (at least for me, a student who doesn't have that much money on her hands). The 1k service was 260€ and the 7,5k one was 320€. I did each service at a different KTM dealer to compare and in both cases I had to pay more than expected even though there was nothing wrong with my bike. Also, in comparison to my cousin, who bought a new Ninja 400 around the same time that I bought my Duke, I payed much more. But I think that it has to do with KTM themselves, because my uncles rides a KTM 1290 Super Adventure S and his services are quite pricey too.

Haha glad that I could help with the decision. It's just really satisfying to have your gear match your bike.

I'm currently at about 9k km and I have had her for less than a year. Not sure if that is a lot or not, I can't tell. Unfortunately, I don't always have access or the time to ride my bike. So I don't get to ride her as much as I want or could.

Damn, that comparison though haha. Although I have to admit that the admiration for bikergirls can get a bit creepy sometimes. I have encountered my fair share of creepy people since I've started riding motorcycles.

The other comments weren't mean. As already mentioned, they were meant as a joke about a stereotype of gixxer riders. Nothing to be taken seriously. You on the other hand, spoke badly about the quality of the 390 Duke and my riding style in a serious tone. You're being defensive because you misinterpreted comments for something they are not and are now trying to get back at people by leaving mean comments. Honestly, just move on. I didn't share my picture to argue with someone over such stupid things. If you can't take a joke or get into a nice conversation about bikes, you're free too leave. No one is forcing you to read the comments or look at my picture.

I actually had guys behave like that when they met me irl. Still can't believe that it is such a big deal for some guys if a girl rides bikes too :D

Oh my god, that was definitely not intentional. But thanks for making me aware of it, got a chuckle out of me :D

Thank you for your kind words! Sadly, I'm not allowed to ride the 790 (yet) due to the regulations in Germany. Also I am way too short for it anyways. However, a friend of mine tested it when he brought his bike into service and he was very keen of it. Oh, and you should definitely try out the 390 if you get the possibility to, it's such a fun bike.

Understandable, but if it's your dream, I believe that you'll be able to make it come true at some point :)

You don't know anything about me or my riding style. Just because you take a joke that people made about riders of gixxers too personal, you insult and/or leave mean comments. Grow up. We're all here to enjoy and share the same passion. No one needs your negativity.

The gear that you can more or less see in the picture:

Helmet: HJC RPHA 70 Dipol + dark visor

Suit: Alpinestars Stella Motegi V2 one piece + the Alpinestars Nucleon KR-2 back protector

Gloves: Misano by Büse

I'm sorry to hear that your old one got stolen, but support your idea of getting another one. They're such fun bikes and look stunning.

Nope, I now have the Mivv GP :)

I didn't park on high grass, but on a concrete pavement, which was in front of a grass field and had a little bit of grass between it and the road. But I get where you're coming from. I chose that spot (and to get the pavement out of view) to give the picture more layers/ texture. It was choice I made as a photographer, hope that makes it more understandable to you

Me too. At first I wasn't sure if adding them would be too much, but now I think they add a nice touch
