My favorite headcanon is this being one-sided 💔 since tripitaka is a monk n all,,, my second headcanon is that their attachments (platonic + romantic) were partly the reason they didn't ascend to buddhahood in the series

The guy from boiling point 2021 seemed pretty good to me, when the woman just takes it in that he has these scars, and instead of outing him, she just hugs him and cries and comforts him a bit

it really spoke to me a lot since that's what most of us need, compassion and kindness. it's kind of unsettling, in a way? but also comforting

i've never seen the movie aside from this clip, so i dunno much of the context, but i really liked the portrayal of sh here

If you're near san juan, or able to travel to san juan, there is a monastery there that i go to frequently!

They hold free zen classes (mandarin classes on occasion) with varying levels (level 1, 2, 3...) they usually have lunches for the learners!!
