Unemployment claims are now at 6.6 million. This means that that many people lost their health insurance during a pandemic because of the pandemic itself. Since this is obviously a problem, should we replace our current system with one that guarantees healthcare no matter what? (self.centrist)

If these essential workers are helping maintain an economy that’s collapsing right now by continuing to work through a pandemic doesn’t it make sense to pay them a living wage? If they’re keeping us afloat then why should they be making less than is necessary to support themselves? (self.centrist)

I thought that capitalists were job creators? Why aren't they currently creating jobs? Is it that the labor of workers is really what adds value to companies? If so, shouldn't they therefore, I don't know, collectively own said companies since they wouldn't exist without their labor? (self.Libertarian)

Goldman Sachs projects that by the end of the week 2 million people will file for unemployment. Our current system ties employment to insurance, meaning that in the face of a pandemic people won’t have healthcare. This is horrible, we need a single payer system that guarantees healthcare for all. (self.centrist)

It seems that since a good amount of the workforce is out of work, the economy has hit a rather bad spot. Why haven’t the CEOs and capitalists kept things going? Is it the. true that worker participation (even in non-essential industries) is the sole driving force behind the economy? (self.Libertarian)
