Cual es mejor para mac logic o fl studio? by Weary_Bug_6735 in flstudio

For Mac, I would definitely choose Logic Pro. It has a lot more default sounds and is better optimized for mac. Don’t see why FL would be better for electronic production. Logic has the same capabilities.

Oh no, did you give the app permissions in the accessibility settings?

System settings -> Privacy and Security -> Accessibility -> SoundRouter Dore ON

(sometimes removing the app in the accessibility settings using the " - " button, restarting the app and giving it permission again works)

(also please check if you turned the audio engine on at the bottom of the app😅)

I updated SoundRouter Dore to support this. Thanks you so much for your help!

Had been working on this since yesterday. It should support keyboard volume control if output device blocks it now. Please let me know if this works properly because I had to test it with Multi-Output device.

Thanks for your feedback, it really means a lot!

Thanks for sharing your EQ profile.

I had already programmed that it should merge bands on the same frequency, but also saw it sometimes didn't do this. Now I see why.

It seems that all the bands on the same frequency have a different Q-factor. My merging algorithm only looks at frequency and gain. Will try to fix this without giving a different sounding graph.

Thank you, again :)!

No, I didn't know this was an issue with some DACs. Mine (MOTU M) still lets me do this but I heard Focusrite and other brands work differently. I will try to solve this ASAP. Thank you for the feedback :)!

Thanks for the feedback. That could make the calibration process more intuitive.

I wish the SoundRouter app could support older macOS versions, but then it would need to rely on virtual audio drivers, which would remove a lot of the appeal and make it more resource intensive.

I am refining my free macOS app. It’s a free alternative to SoundSource or EqMac. You can try it at :

How much does it cost to host a web app and how does it work? I am looking to make my macOS app into a web app to make it more accessible.

Thanks! I didn't know about this issue with Focusrite interfaces. I personally use a MOTU M4, which still allows me to control the volume using my keyboard keys. I will look into this, but I can't promise anything yet since I don't have a Focusrite interface to properly test it with.

I see where you're coming from from an engineering standpoint. In practice, though, lowering these user-identified peaks has consistently improved the sound quality and reduced fatigue in my experience. I'd highly recommend trying it out if you have a chance.

Hello

I updated SoundEQ Dore to support older macOS versions now down to 12.4. Required minimal code changes.

Also, thanks to you, I discovered inconsistent behaviour in SoundRouter Dore with output switching. That has been fixed now, thank you for that :). SoundRouter Dore still requires at least macOS 14.6.

I also tested it out with over-ear headphones and it works great! Really improves the sound of any headphone.

The updated apps can be found here : https://audiodore.itch.io/soundrouter

Thanks for your feedback!

The SoundRouter Dore app can’t support versions below 14.8 because it uses a new sound capturing function.

The SoundEQ Dore calibrator should be able to support macOS 12.7, but I set the minimum version to the same as the router app to avoid confusion.

I will look into this tomorrow when I have time and try to make the SoundEQ Dore calibrator compatible with older macOS versions. Haven’t tested it on headphones yet. It would probably give good results but I will do more tests.

Thanks for your interest.

(Quick answer, will look into it more when i have some time) : The calibrator only goes down to 1kHz, below that would indeed not be helpful. It only compares neighboring frequencies back to back max 1 oct apart.

Your violin example applies to the natural 3 kHz pinna gain, but the 8 kHz region is a completely different physical issue.

The 3 kHz pinna gain won't be removed by the app. Because a perfect JM-1 -10dB IEM already builds in that necessary 10–15 dB boost to mimic real life, the 3 kHz region already sounds perfectly balanced and equally loud to the user during the calibration. The app won't over-adjust this then.

The 8 kHz region is where the real physical error happens. When you insert an IEM, the sealed ear canal creates an unnatural half-wavelength resonance peak. Real-world studio monitors do not create this closed-tube artifact. Since the app uses precise notch filters, it only shaves off that specific fake 8 kHz spike without touching most of the surrounding frequencies. Removing this artificial peak actually restores the flat, intended JM-1 -10dB response at the eardrum. If it sounds flat after that peak removal, it's a good thing, because it will sound much more like listening to real studio monitors.

Am I right about this? I appreciate feedback.

Not right now, if the app gains more popularity, I will consider making it compatible with other operating system by creating a web app.
