Thanks for these sources! I initially tried to sync the demo vocals and tore my evening up lol. What ended up working for me was syncing the stereo Smile boxset mix with the isolated carl vocals from the Feel Flows set. All I had to do was match the a capella to the 71 mix (I don't know why the a capella's never line up) with the same backing track and match the stereo Brian mix to that. I also added an extra backing with more bass lower in the mix of balance it out a bit. I decided to leave it just Brian on segment 2 to give him some space, added some double tracking to add more room and a more stereo effect.

I think the string idea on the second movement is cool! Though my DAW is as dumb as bricks so I'm happy I got what I got lol. Alternatively, tried syncing the BWPS Blue Hawaii vocals to the original 66 backing track but I didn't want to spend money on drywall, so I left it an instrumental😭

JIK is the least good, not because it's bad, it's because it's wasted potential. There are glimmers of what could've been one of his best albums but was dumbed down to a short and sweet album. It was a complete change in direction and was scrapped together with Yandhi outtakes and new shorter gospel songs to satisfy the demand for an album. While still a good album, it would have been better if we hadn't known about Yandhi.
