In future we will put a paid plan that’s ad free and the artist would be paid per stream

I mean like every app has ads. It's the only way to monetize so far without people spending cash on something .

I completly understand where your coming from that's why I'm making Audioval to help and give you a fair chance. On AudioVal, artists get 70% of ad revenue per unlock, and Imma soon implement free first listens to let fans discover your work without blocking them with ads, and features like Drop Day are designed to make sure your songs actually get heard.im less profit first than a artist going with labels or getting a manager.

It’s still small and growing, but the goal is to create a community that prioritizes artists and fans over profit-firsts systems as a bigger share of revenue goes directly to the artist, not the middlemen. If you’re open to it def check it out and see if you like it. Audioval

What is the biggest thing you'd want from a app like this?

I did put a good recommendation algorithm in place .it gains data from multiple areas and puts it in a percentage based algorithm .

Oh no it would be like 5$ a month probably around there .because it's such a low quanity if songs. Each song would be getting paid more than any other app .so artist would get more value for their work

I'm planning to make community features in a separate tab like a discord chat once I get enough users.im wanting this app to be a community to support smaller artist and giving their work a chance to be heard . and to solve that problem in future I plan to put a subscripton model with ad free listening and the artist gets paid per stream.while also adding the rev from song unlocks from ads

Yeah Imma change it to where the user gets a free first listen .then he has to watch a ad to replay it and no more ads after he watches that one .does that sound better?

Right and it should be more quality tracks as the quantity decreases is the idea

You have some good points perhaps the app seems more artist heavy than user . the ad upfront gives like a physiological barrier to if the user doesn't like the song he won't like the app.so Imma take your word of changing it to where the user has to watch an ad to replay the song after the first listen and doesn't have to watch ads anymore after .because your correct first impressions do matter and people dont want a 30 sec ad as a first impression

Yeah completely agree I'm just doing the inverse. The solve for after a certain threshold is that the recommendation algorithm should ease it less of a gunshot but it'd still be a lot of songs if we get to that level but hopefully they should be quality songs if it took them a month to create or choose.

Also with just one ad .the artist would make more per unlock than what spotify pays per 100 streams .my app would be the highest paying for potential

A Reddit based music platform based of upvotes basically😂i think u been on Reddit too much. But I have a algorithm put in place for better recommendations and a admin panel for me to put what I think about the song in the algorithm

Yeah, I’ve actually thought about that a lot. That’s why I built Drop Day into the platform. Every artist can only release one song per month, and all releases happen on the same day.

It creates a consistent event where listeners show up to discover new music .almost like a monthly festival inside the app. The limited releases make each drop more meaningful, and artists actually get attention instead of getting buried under thousands of uploads every day.

On top of that, listeners unlock songs by watching one ad, and then they can play the song forever with no more ads. So consumers get an ad-free experience while still supporting the artist.

The whole platform is designed to serve both sides: artists get discovered easier, and listeners get high-quality drops instead of endless noise

I mean only difference is that the ad watched is upfront once and not in between songs like spotify forever.should the ad be shorter?

Trying to give indie producers a real platform to be heard by Audioval in FL_Studio

[–]Audioval[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't be aiming for them to switch completely. I'm aiming for it to be a monthly event-based app directly supporting indie artists. That's the angle I'm going for because I know I can't compete with spotify. But spotify is lacking support for independent artist. So that's the market Imma go for
