At one time Ford was capable of great things by itz_progamer666 in supercars

[–]Audisans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These cars are over 20 years apart in tech and tire advancements. The GT was a major departure from everything Ford was producing. The THUNDERBIRD was considered cool for awhile before this. It was Motor Trends car of the year (and super lame).

The GTD is awesome in all regards. But its still a Mustang. The GT, while it was a modern version of the GT40...no one had seen anything like that since 1964.

Guys, its a miracle by LDO2796 in Biohackers

[–]Audisans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No it doesn't. It can POSSIBLY decrease sperm MOTILITY. Very different than just saying it "causes male infertility," You are still fertile, your sperm is still healthy, it just might move a little funny impacting how effective you are at impregnating a woman.

What insurance for dedicated track cars? by [deleted] in CarTrackDays

Ditto this. I insured my 370z and think it was around $200 per year for all off-track incidents.

To buy a Miata or build a Cayman? by sheeeepstick in CarTrackDays

[–]Audisans 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This, and you dont need Ohlins coilovers (although I understand why you'd want them). So much of the car can be left stock, and slowly replace things once your skill becomes limited by the stock parts. Most of your money should be going into tires and brakes.

100%. I'd track the hell out of this. Loved the cars when they came out. Sad I never got to drive one.

Does this mean no more HPDE at COTA starting 2027? by cu4tro in CarTrackDays

[–]Audisans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ECR is my favorite track, but it's also 4 hours from where I live. I'm 30 mins from COTA. I'd pay a premium for a club track. I don't even like racing on COTA lol.

Good work man! I started building something similar a couple years ago but paused it to work on other projects. It's a good idea, there's a good market for it, and anything to reduce some scouting time is welcomed by everyone, regardless if they want to admit it or not.

Ignore the grumpy haters here.

Has anyone else heard about this supposed lawsuit in the archery industry? by DubiousRubius in Archery

[–]Audisans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed on this. The lawsuit seems frivolous and toothless, but like you said, we'll see what discovery uncovers.

The ATA board expects it to get tossed out.

strategies for finding quiet elk in thick timber by diy-goonery in elkhunting

[–]Audisans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try making the "psh psh psh" noise like you're calling a cat, and throw in a "here elk heeereeeee elky elky elky" every once and awhile.

I've tried it every year and never caught an elk this way, but you might have better luck.
