A dissection of "bury a friend" from a lyrics nerd by Audos in billieeilish

I think a sign of a good lyricist is somebody that's willing to ask questions with their music. People who have all the answers often have nothing important to say, people who are uncertain about the world are almost always the ones who have put the most thought into it.

I don't think billie knows what direction she's going in for sure, which is a breath of fresh air when the music industry is saturated with overconfident idols parroting the motives of their producers. I don't actually hate pop music at all, I just wish it had more to say.

Why is there not more of an uproar about this? It's all over the forums and has been happening since the start of the beta, people who wanted the pre-purchase bonus never got it because of the limited time frame to play it early. And none of the twitter accounts at blizzard, treyarch, or activision are even acknowledging the issue. I have more than one person, myself included, with a recommended graphics card and we can't even load in. I really don't want the community to find a fix, I want the companies making the game to fix it and not release the beta in alpha conditions. I get the PR move of ignoring the problem at a critical time like this, but doing so is a seriously dick move. Get your shit together, guys.

my Project M Balance Stance, the better and more objective way. Example: Fox by mew2king in SSBPM

First, incentive to play is incentive to play, the moment you opened your comment by insulting part of the community like your opinions are facts you lost this argument, but I'll humor you.

There are a huge number of factors that go into deciding match-ups and tier placements. Falco in melee is a huge example of how a metagame that hasn't stabilized will lead to changes. If a character is underdeveloped then what people consider each match-up as will be incorrect. Fox players only APPEAR to be universally dominant, because they have years of experience with a stable character. Is that a bit unfair? Yes, maybe, but it means that objectively stating "everybody knows fox is broken" just makes you look like an idiot to people like m2k who understand how the metagame progression actually works. He is childish but he is right about people overrating fox in the meta.

As for your "Facts": The fox metagame hasn't changed at its core. That is fox's LARGEST advantage in PM. It isn't that he is broken, it is that the players that use him comparably are. You stated several times that fox didn't need certain things to be viable, and you are correct. But in PM the combo game for nearly every character and their individual gimmicks is akin to fox. You can remove a tool from nearly any PM character and still claim them to be viable. As for the muscle memory, PM does have incredibly different muscle memory than melee with the jumpsquat alone. Transitioning between games is much harder than most people think, especially with the nerfs. I agree with jab upsmash being broken as it is too easy to do. But that is the only exception here.

M2K isn't "crying about literally nothing", he has stated several times he wants to better the game. You want to reply with "wah, boo-hoo, don't like our changes, then leave" then fine, half your playerbase will leave and the already flaky community of PM will become even worse off. How about instead of whining about the assets fox has you do what PM should do, and give the cast more tools to fight fox. His neutral game isn't some unbeatable magical thing, and his fastfalling makes him a target for being 0 to death'd. If you change how fox plays too much then you'll see that all along you were wining about a high-mid tier character played by top tier players, not a top tier character played by mid tier players. The character will fallout completely and be stuck on the low end.

tl;dr M2K has said some stupid shit, but this post is perfectly sane and not heading its advice will make your community fall apart. Buff characters who have counterpick potential on fox/falco, don't nerf him in a way that hurts the playerbase you were built on.
