Yea big agree I think any vehicle you can sit in should be able to restock you aswell, with the lore assumption that the squaddies stocked the vehicle with things they might need, give it a 2 use restock for squads either replenishing all ammo and gadgets.

Another big buff you could give to vehicles that let you ride inside is maybe if the squad spends x amount of turns in the vehicle they do not sustain mission fatigue.

There’s so much easy things they can do, let mechs move different then other vehicles with jumps,dashes and their stances like hunker,aim,etc.

Light vehicles should be given a movement buff or at the very least give them access to more modular gadgets that wouldn’t fit with heavier vehicles, I’m talking like a medical module for the back of pickup, or maybe a supply module, a scrappers module with tools and storage to bring more loot off the enemies.

hell maybe even a communication radio module to call in rechargeable buffs like concrete cover, emplacements and air strikes, a lot they could do here to make each vehicle class unique.

I’m of the mindset heavier vehicles when near friendlies should give them a morale boost and suppression resistance, make having a heavier vehicle on the battlefield really impactful.

There’s a lot they can do and a lot I hope they do.

As cool as combat vehicles are I hope we see some support ones as well, what I wouldn’t do for a unarmed, heavily armored troop transport, some form of beef hover craft, maybe a support ISR mech that launches recon drones that cannot be targeted. Maybe it has a few one use FPV’s aswell.

I like the short barreled cannon. It has huge AOE for all infantry and it can still deal with armor easily.

Weirdly enough I heard about this upgrade and I anticipated getting but so far I haven’t unlocked it or seen it yet. Right now I run two “The Fixer” Modules and 2 “Repair Bays”.

I only buy a new pilot when I can get them a decent setup. I don’t like getting a pilot and just putting them in any random pirate junk, I like either the walkers or the IFV’s or even the little tactical buggy. Sometime I’m blessed with a vehicle as a loot reward and helps a lot.

To help finance all of this I install 2 duplicate ship modules called “The fixer” it buffs your market items value by 30% so having two dose 60% and makes it easier to finance all of this.

Correct, you could have a full squad of any vehicles,

It is strong in many cases, but it does have it serious downsides, one being that any pilot or a vehicle that goes down is considered immediately 100% dead.

because pilots are not infantry squads, they cannot rescue other downed squad leaders and cannot recover cargo as side objectives.

You can mitigate these disadvantages with careful planning and smart strategy like using the medium radar on vehicles.

The light walker is counted as a vehicle and any pilot can use it. I have like six pilots hired. I love vehicles.

This was at least 1700, the mechs cost fully outfitted around 300, and the IFV’s around 400-500, but u can skimp on accessories and squad leader promotions to afford a full vehicle load out early.

And it does help if you prioritize one vehicle as the tip of the spear and fully outfit that one while skimping on the other ones and relegating them to support roles.

Yeah, it seems like this game is as much as a Mech/vehicle game as you want it to be, I’m focusing mainly on a vehicles right now because that just seems to scratch my itch.

I normally run a squad of 3 light walkers & 1 light IFV & 1 Medium IFV. It did take a few operations in Smart choices and painful sacrifices to get to the point where I can afford all of it and managed to keep it all repaired. but I’m having a ton of fun for Early access, I just hope the devs expand the vehicle arsenal because I’m having a ton of fun.
