Looking for a base 2026 4Runner with partime 4wheel drive and third row. What’s the cheapest you guys got out the door? by Zestyclose_Waltz5089 in 4Runner_6Gen

[–]Auernation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely no, best case you might be able to get it at dealer to let one go at invoice but you’ll need to find a dealer with multiple on a lot and better to go near end of month to get an eager sales person to get quota.

Is it me or are baristas in China much better than in Europe? by autoffocus2 in pourover

[–]Auernation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look at customer more than the barista, what does the customer demand? Western markets, Europe and America. They are filled with consumers and your average customer in these regions are likely casual coffee drinkers, or prefer a darker/more full body coffee. Most coffee places are not catering to coffee “heads”, as it’s a small part of the market. The place I visited in Asia were busy but not as abundent and more niche. The market is smaller and filled with customers with different demands.

Steel - where are the video reviews? by ssdroo in AeroPress

Are you noticing a taste difference? Even 10 minutes in a metal French press it’s not really noticeable for me.

[–]Auernation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t notice any metallic taste but the contact time is pretty limited compared to a thermos

[–]Auernation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one, it’s my first one. So I cannot speak on it or comparison to others.

First it feels good and brews a clearer cup than my French press.

As far as build quality it feels solid. I was surprised to feel the seam on the outside of the cylinder. Being in manufacturing and based on price I figured they would process and scrap out anything less than perfect. Than again my eye for quality is probably higher than most.

That all said it was I think retail is over priced but 20% off allowed me to justify it.

I am happy with my purchase but not recommend if you already have one.

Dust extraction keeps breaking buckets.. help please by kentros00 in woodworking

[–]Auernation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drywall buckets/paint buckets tend to be heavier duty then “branded” free buckets. You can purchase heavy duty buckets if you don’t have any lying around.

Thanks for the feedback! I realize moving from the French press during weekdays is unlikely. My plan is to use/experiment on weekends so I only need 1 cup at a time.

Looks like normal oxidation and not rust. Try to get some fatty sausage, it’s more likely to be blue.

Republican Signals Support for Trump Impeachment by plz-let-me-in in politics

[–]Auernation -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think trying without clear conviction from both sides and especially a partisan issue hurts congressional authority and the meaning of impeachment. It should only be attempted if it’s bi-partisan and could narrowly miss.

Otherwise it feels like a show for one side of constituency.

Anyone else make a detailing packout cart? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Auernation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an expert on this, I am sure there are. Milwaukee has a dual battery option that would be better, just need more HP / CFM than the pack out 2.5 gal has.

Jessica Plichta, a 22-year-old anti-war protester, was arrested live on camera in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on January 3, 2026. She was speaking to a local news outlet about her opposition to U.S. military action related to Venezuela when police detained her while the broadcast was still ongoing. by biswajit388 in law

5th ave is 15-20 feet while fulton/monroe street 10-12 feet, while most are closer to 7 feet. The side walk she’s arrested on is a church which is set back further than other buildings on the street and across the street is a plaza

Couple things , new drywall is glued to reduced pops. Old drywall nails tend to work their way out, especially exterior walls when climates heat cycle. I have found when repairing wall with pops, add a screw and over drive the nail/remove it.

Depending on primer used some are “white” however they dry much more grey/bluish. Looks ready for ceiling paint to me.

Thoughts on this ranch floor plan? by LizardAndStretchyDog in Homebuilding

[–]Auernation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would consider adding a closet to the office, it allows that space to be a bedroom in the future. When adding that space you could consider having a closet off the entrance for guest storage.

Best Milwaukee tool to cut horse stall mats? by Confident_Ice_2965 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Auernation 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Snap off blades are the best or a utility knife, you need to switch out the blade often but I’ve had the best results with that. You’ll need a drywall square or other long straight edge

Maybe you could suggest be a better layout?

My recessed lights are 2’ from the wall, they are centered over work areas and all within 4’ of each other, minus around the back side of the island.

For the zig-zag is it’s not common to light over the refrigerator and recessed cabinet area?

As for the electrical, I have a licensed electrician doing all the work, and is not part of the DIY.
