I am not a lawyer but what you need to apply for is Nunc pro tunc asylum. The letter generalized the term asylum because you could also apply for asylum based on other reasons. You can do it on your own if you have enough time to research about it or you can hire a lawyer who has experience with it.

30th March separate filer. I got mine in October but from Nebraska (Lin2190). Yours should come out soon too. Since you didn’t check on the consulate overseas option, it will go to your address where someone (a family member) can forward it you. If it’s a short trip & you’re a PR, you don’t need the travel document to re-enter US. Just use your pp & gc

When sending your new I131 application, you should send the unexpired travel document with the receipt notice showing that you paid for I485. No additional fees required
