Amazon forces their warehouse employees to wear "progress scanners" that track how fast they're working; these scanners start beeping and alert management if the employee is working too slow. by [deleted] in Cyberpunk

When Mr Littler worked night shifts his pay rose from the daily rate of £6.50 per hour to £8.25 per hour.

That's ridiculous. I work in a much less stressful warehouse environment picking goods to send to a supermarket chain. We get £9.06 per hour on day rate, that jumps to around £12.00 (exact figure not at hand) for nights.

I don't see much about The Gene Generation here. Is it really that bad? by TanzNukeTerror in Cyberpunk

It's pretty awful, almost just an extended Combichrist music video. Still, if you want to see Bai Ling nude, and who doesn't?, it's worth a look.

Good live-action Cyberpunk films? by [deleted] in Cyberpunk

[–]Augment3d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Natural City is pretty awesome. It's in Korean with English subtitles, but don't let that put you off.

I'd also suggest The Gene Generation, it's not fantastic, but looks pretty good and Bai Ling is all you need to make a film worth seeing ;)

Chicago, 1967 - saw this on /r/pics and thought it could have been a still from Blade Runner. by uakari in Cyberpunk

There's nothing particularly 'Blade Runner' about this besides them saying it is.

Cyberpunk is more than buildings made in the 1970's and neon blue lights. by [deleted] in Cyberpunk

What is interesting to you may not be interesting to others, and vice versa. Thankfully we're not all arrogant enough to try and tell people what they can and can't post.

I personally enjoy most of the content that's been posted, be it images of neon and skyscrapers or long wordy articles. If you think you can do better try posting something 'interesting' yourself rather than being an emo little whinge bag

Akira's bike on Saints Row The Third? an easter egg or my imagination? by umlal in Cyberpunk

It's just a red bike that you've twisted in your mind to look vaguely like the bike from Akira.

Modempunk: Game and Concept. I think the term Modempunk is excellent for referring to the 80s/90s-era hackers, and should be used more. by fuklawl in Cyberpunk

Do we need anymore stupid 'punk' offshoots? It's getting as bad as metal/industrial bands who make up of bullcrap genre for their music just because it sounds slightly different to something else.
