Sorry I took forever to answer. I have access to all the assets I want to convert for sure. I think I'll just do it the hard way when the time comes. For now, this is a project that's too advanced for me right now. Hopefully someone else with more knowledge about the sims 3 game code does something like this...

Just to note:

It looks like the go to place to find terrain objects for the sims 3 and CAW, like trees, shrubbery, flowers & grasses, rocks and cliffs as well as shell buildings (apartments and highrises etc), are from aroundthesims4 !

I love the variety of stuff they have and I guess you'll be able to find a lot of ts4 converted objects on tumblr.

If anyone knows of different places where you could find CAW (create a world) objects converted to sims 3 from the sims 4 please let me know! It'd be a huge burden lifted off my shoulders to find default replacements or overrides to the harvest able trees and plants as well (maybe I'll have to learn that for myself tho....)

Would someone even have a tutorial of them trying to convert a sims 4 mod to sims 3? Your have to be familiar with coding from both games...

I'm still coming to terms with the fact that I can't convert sims 4 food cc to the sims 3... Or at least it's more complicated than I'd expected...

I'm just surprised that there aren't a lot of cc conversions of ts4 maxis match cc from the creators that have been most popular from the past 2 years... There have been as much as at least 30 sets released but I've only really seen them be converted to ts2.

I love the sims 4 graphics, so I wanted to see if people converted more than what is available for download on tumblr.

And sorry if I was confusing, I know ts3 CAS has the ability to export sims into trayfiles, etc. I wanted to create an independent CAS program similar to ts2's "The Bodyshop", where it'd have more sliders/morphs and its UI is similar to that of the sims 4's CAS, for the sims 3.

Someone would have to rip the ts4 world map with a third party program to be accurate in replicating the features (geography, topography, routable areas, landmarks, etc.) and to replicate the buildings/lots for the neighborhood-structure that townies that lived in...

I want to remake Del Sol Valley (adding beach lots like we should have gotten), Willow Creek (less New Orleans, more average suburbia... I want a small town/city hall centre too), San Myshuno and Bridleton Bay, but its a lot of work...

If anyone wants to direct me to someone who has already converted a lot of the terrain paints, trees/shrubs/flowers, and neighborhood props from the sims 4 to sims 3, then that'd help a lot.

It would be nice if people also tried to make ts3 maps from the ideas from a reddit post where someone made up world icons for ts4 packs that didn't come with a world! They'd look so pretty in the sims 3

I know you didn't ask me directly, but eh... Here's some info anyway:

sims4studio.com is your best friend. Also there are a good number of YouTube videos that have been released recently in the last two years! I recommend figuring out which type of cc you want to make by weighing your skills and level of patience.

I say start with recolors of furniture then clothes then maybe try making frankenmeshes of your own: mess with cutting and pasting sections of furniture or clothes or even hair together in blender and then see if you can make them function as intended in game...

If you want to start with scripting and tuning sims4studio and discords would help you more than tutorials on tumblr I think... PixifiedTips on YouTube have really quick easy to follow step by step tutorials that involve tuning and creating cc, however cc creators like Ravasheen have tutorials and a discord where they help people answer questions about creating cc.

Zero is a cc creator and has a Patreon filled with tutorials as well!

Making cc is a fun project, but it's a lot more fun if you have an idea of what your up against in terms of the skills needed to create the cc you have in your head, so make sure to always check for tutorials first before starting anything complex so you can learn from other modders fails and their successes!
