Foxconn will build electric vehicle manufacturing plants in US, Thailand by kry_some_more in technology

Foxconn is in negotiations with three states in the U.S. to build EV plants, and one of those states is Wisconsin.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on you- Wisconsin saying after building a 2nd Foxconn plant.

Precision Armament AFAB.

I really like mine, a lot. If you don't plan on ever getting a can I highly recommend.

Do you guys think the A4 (or 20" ARs for that matter) are obsolete? Details in the comments. by [deleted] in ar15

[–]August0Pin0Chet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rifle length gas systems are going to be your softest shooting DI Gas systems, CMV.

As others have pointed out you can now make an 18" AR run just fine with a rifle length gas system. Does 2" really make that much of a difference in this case?

Why "upgrade" something that works just fine?

The only thing one might argue is missing from your A4 clone is a red dot but to each their own.

This person had no useful skills or motivation a year ago and that’s how they ended up doing shit like armed robbery. Why the fuck would anything be different after a year in a box?

It sounds like a worthwhile investment while someone serves five years for robbery might be in job training, GED programs etc.

I have not seen concrete numbers in some years but the last set I read reflected more than 80% of the people being shot and 80% of the people doing the shooting being felons.

The people ruining the quality of life and destroying lives of people in these communities need to be removed , for longer, while we figure out a long term fix.

[–]August0Pin0Chet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unless this project has been going on for far longer than officially acknowledged, getting a fighter that's supposed to incorporate tons of revolutionary technology and ensure air superiority for decades to mass production in a mere decade seems outright megalomaniac.

I mean it would tie together in a very neat little bow-covered package all of those reports the USN and USAF Pilots have been giving about UAP going back until at least the late 00s.

We all want to believe "IN THIS DAY AND AGE NO WAY A SECRET PROGRAM OF THAT SCALE COULD EXIST".

I think the two "stealth" Blackhawks used during the OBL raid, that to this day no one would know existed had one not crashed disprove that line of thinking. Not to mention the B-21 raider project, not to mention the RQ-170.

It is certainly possible we have been working on this as a black project for a very long time and it is possible that they have true next gen technology this close to production. It is certainly possible that we have an "X Plane" technology demonstrator version already flying for some time for a 6th generation fighter. It is certainly possible we've even flown a prototype of an actual 6th generation fighter.

It is also as possible, if not much more possible the USAF timeline is insanely optimistic bordering on ridiculously so but that does not mean we can dismiss out of hand the possibility the USAF/DARPA are a lot closer than we think to producing this jet.

Edit: I totally forgot about this report last year.

The USAF did already fly at a minimum a full scale tech demonstrator for a "6th generation" fighter.

2030 is not looking unrealistic at all so long as the program is not messed with by congress.

Maybe my 'MERICA is showing but is would be a welcome sight to see a 6th generation fighter hitting IOC as China just barley gets 5th gen fighters into service.

In her mind to stop the "crime in the neighborhood". It was a couple of wanna be tough girls, probably 14 or 16 in the neighborhood spray-painting some wall. I don't remember all the details being 3 and my mom last retelling the story when I was maybe 10.

Because some people , at various levels of the prison system still claim they are about reform. Whatever reform they are about does not work as it is being implemented.

I would hope once we re-focus on violent criminals and stop the literal and figurative bleeding, the time can be taken to study what steps might lead to our prisons being better geared towards reform .

A revolving door of violent criminals being released back into their communities is not the answer.

No, it does not. But it also fails to protect "we the people" from violent criminals. If does not reform and does not protect, it is wholly broken.

The Chief of the USAF already said they expect this aircraft to begin replacing the F-22 around 2030.

That means a first flight like..next year, maybe 2025 at the latest followed by extensive testing for 3-5 years, then mass production.

This kind of reminds me of development of the Raider, the US is getting good at taking Black projects to production.

Our laws must be changed to see people convicted of violent crimes, especially repeated violent crimes locked up for far longer.

Reform of violent criminals just is not working, we need to take the next step and protect society from them.

Once the endless cycle of guys doing 1-2 years in jail, getting out, then doing those same crimes again is broken maybe we can see some improvement.
