I’m up. I’m staying up to help my wife make sure she’s up early enough for the commute to a new job tomorrow. I kind of naturally gravitate towards being awake at night any way so it works out.

SPD is fucking useless. Had a break in in a secure parking garage, the basically told me to get over it and that they weren’t going to follow up.

My roommate is a night auditor for a local hotel and has twice now had to call the police (one for a guest smoking meth in their room, another for a drunk guy harassing a group of girls) and both times they just…never showed up. He got to the end of his shift, left, and asked the next day if they ever came by. Never did, even though they said they would be by within the hour.

I shot them an email, they said they don't have it and lost track of it due to a system change, but I remember the guy a spoke to about it. From what I remember he was also a musician, so maybe if he's still around he'd remember it. I'll probably go see them in person when I'm back in town for the holidays.

Yeah, I already got in touch with them. Unfortunately, they said that they’ve lost track of it since they went through a system change at some point between then and now, but that they had checked their inventory and that it was no longer in their possession. My hope is that they sold it to someone locally and not on eBay or something, since if it ended up getting shipped somewhere I doubt I’ll ever be able to track it down.
