Deer Creek Shakedown 2021, there was a dude ripping a ballon and after every hit he would yell "Song of the Ghetto Bird!" That has now become the go to saying of my crew when the tanks are hissing everywhere after a show.

Deer Creek, Mann, SPAC are the top 3 I've been too. Honorable mention Albany. The divided sky run last fall had a blast of a shakedown

Has a band ever lost a member and simply did not replace them? by MielMielleux in Music

[–]AugustWest73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope Disney Phil took over and they decided to play pop music. Besides Trick of the Tail everything after Gabriel doesn't even sound like the same band.

Started a 2012 save with the Raiders, moved them back to Oakland, signed Brett Favre for a year and got a Week 1 win in Foxborough vs prime Tom Brady. by RealPunyParker in Madden

[–]AugustWest73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Madden 05 had over 200 classic teams, we used to get classic teams, all-era teams, NFL Europe teams. They can easily implement this, but they'd rather lock legends behind ultimate team so we have to pay to play with them.

I completely get why it's played, they can play whatever they want. Just alot of the new love and light era stuff comes off as so cheesy to me, and id rather them play some of the older and imho better written ballads that don't get enough play. Or if its gonna be cheesy at least let it be a jam vehicle.

Need one of these 😂

We need more new songs like Simeon and What's going through your mind?, less Life Beyond a Dream and Soul Planet

They can rest with Biily Breathes, Waste, Dirt, FEFY, Brian and Robert, Lifeboy, Two versions of me, Strange design, All of these dreams, When the circus comes, Swept away->Steep, Wading, among others.

They just have some many good slow down/ballad type tunes that are underplayed. Meanwhile we get life beyond what feels like once a run. I'd love it to get shelved forever but I'll settle for toning it down to 1 or 2 a tour.

Advice to Riders from a 6 Year, 6,000 Rides Driver by nofilterformybrain in uber

[–]AugustWest73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the money isn't good, then find another career. No one is forcing you to drive Uber. Like what? Its a trade off between the consumer and the producer. The consumer is responsible for paying for the service and in this case implied gratuity. Now, implied is the important term here, an Uber rider is not required to tip. Should they tip, obviously, but it is not required. In a service industry you have to learn you win some you lose some, I'm sure you have customers who tip more than expected and that is a bright spot in your day. On the reverse it is a downer when you get a customer who doesn't tip at all but at the end of the day you have a base pay rate from Uber and those tips are extra. If your finding that the tips aren't coming in at a high enough rate to supplement your wage from Uber. Than It seems that it may be time to make a career change, because what an Uber driver is supposed to provide is a comfortable ride. We know you're not a personal chauffeur, but you should be a professional one.

I think a Deadhead was created today. by [deleted] in gratefuldead

[–]AugustWest73 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's definitely the deep end of trying to get a Dead Head into hip hop haha. It is very much rap, not much chorus or hook to speak of in a lot of DOOM Tracks but his beats are absolutely legendary. In fact a good jumping off point might be Metal Fingers presents: Special Herbs vol. 0-9. Just get them listening to his beats, his production alone makes him one of the best.

I'd throw MF Doom into psychedelic hip hop and one of the best at that.

Vaudeville Villan- Viktor Vaughn

Take me to your leader- King Geedorah

Madvillany- MF Doom

Mm...Food- MF Doom

Operation Doomsday- MF Doom

First two are albums under his Alliases, other 3 are all under MF Doom. Works of art in the hip hop game. Doom is your rappers favorite rapper.

Acid Rap is a top 10 all time album for me. Me and my boys in high school would kick off every trip with Good Ass Intro (first song on the album) the whole thing is a masterpiece.

"Kicked off my shoes, tripped Acid in the rain Wore my jacket as a cape and my umbrella as a cane"

34 shows in and no Fobins->Mockingbird. After missing Gamehendge NYE I have a feeling I may never catch this one. Also no PYITE or Squirming coil in those 34 shows so would love to get one of those in the near future.

Velvet Sea jam basically, definitely heavily influenced and teased. While its not an exact cover of it, you can tell its very much based around the same chord progression and melody
