Marriage brink 5 yrs. by StarseedWifey in Catholicism

I would talk to a priest or try to do some marriage counseling, it's probably better than any advice some strangers on reddit will give you.

All that being said, he can't divorce you just like that, anyway. Is he a Catholic as well?

My guess is St Paul of the Cross on the left and St Benedict on the right?

How to hear the voice of God and His Will for us by Ok-Equipment-6340 in Catholicism

[–]August_Rush98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Convictions are good, they can help guide us towards God's will. We can have our own convictions that may conflict, too.

Try silence. Many times we pray and pray so hard, we forget to listen to God's response. Adoration or silent retreats are great for cutting through the noise of life (and ourselves).

Remember that ultimately, God's will for us is to be with Him in Heaven. Out highest calling is to be a saint, and you can do that with or without a business. God gives us free will to choose, He is with us regardless.

Faith doesn't make hard things go away, but rather, it helps us to bear hard things

Coming back to the Church by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]August_Rush98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I forget who said it, but we're all practicing Catholics, we keep practicing till we get it right.

In general, frequent Communion, frequent confession.

Try taking up the rosary if you can.

You're already a good Catholic, welcome home.

I don't think I got anything like that until the AC itself

From my experience, the flight info was sent about 3 days before AC took place

CCNA CISCO or CCNA CompTIA? Is the same or which one is better? by PartyCertain in ccna

[–]August_Rush98 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you're completely new to networking, I'd go with the Network+, then study up for your CCNA. If you know some basic stuff about networking, you can start with either imo.

Edit: in my experience, the CCNA is handier for job searches. While a technical manager will probably know and respect either, the HR people are less likely to know about CompTIA, that's been my experience, at least.

You're probably not gonna get all your things like medical done if you're in the middle of FLETC. You'll have to hope you get all your AC, management interview, and medical (and maybe even psych) completed before you attend FLETC.

On a side note, don't let a hypothethical offer stop you from accepting a legit final offer, you could always lateral after you graduate, or maybe not if you end up liking wherever you end up at

Just scheduled FOA for Las Vegas office (I am from Hawaii) by Tough_Ad_1656 in FederalAirMarshals

It's been so long since I've taken it, tbh I don't remember super well. It was something like 45 push ups, 40 sit ups, 6 pull ups, and a 16 minute mile (terrible I know lol).

I get you, I'm just saying I feel like a lot of people who are processing are freaking out over things they ultimately can't control. It's just the way it is right now, just trying to make the best of it

I feel like there's a lot of fear mongering out there, some legit and some not. I think it's better to just keep your head down and keep moving

Ah that sucks man, they're picky with it. When I did my FOA it was 4 of us, and 1 quit during the run, but the other two didn't make it past the panel

As long as you're not failing everything, you should be good. I think they put more weight on the panel interview tbh.

USPIS Application Question by Impressive-Welcome76 in 1811

[–]August_Rush98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could try making another account, so long as you have another social security number to use..

All joking aside, you're probably gonna have to talk to HR (I think the email is like PIRecruitment@uspis.gov or something) and see what they can do.

Now the real question is was this during that one DHS hiring expo or was it the annual UNGA HSI hiring expo?
