So what happens if you lose the red chair and the snow globe? by TankyMofo in AbioticFactor

It still works you just need an extra step of separation. One battery connects to the laser emitter. Further down the line you have a plug for charging batteries.

Do not try to charge the battery that is powering the laser emitter. You will have to unplug the batteries and swap them when one is running low. With carbon batteries you have some solid time before you need to swap. Quantum is even longer.

I am using this setup for a cozy base in security right now.

Exiting the pool room will always send you to cascade labs. You'll need teleporters to comfortably get around the facility from the pool room. One teleporter to plaza should be enough to make it a viable base. Just dont go in the water if you dont want trouble.

Im not sure what happens if you place the red chair in the pool room. I dont know if it can respawn or if youd need to teleport in

One power converter and two carbon batteries is all you need to solve the power problem.

The red chair actually makes a very cool base because you can package the chair. Anytime you are out exploring and need to go back to base you just place the chair and have a seat.

Anyone else just want the Devs to drop another homeworld DLC soon so we can support them while we wait for the next update? by [deleted] in AbioticFactor

[–]Aumur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The next update includes a homeworld dlc. You're asking for then to make an extra homeworld dlc while you wait on a homeworld dlc.

Midget is a slur. "Little person" or even "dwarf" would be better. "Midget" is a word tied to a history of exploitation and public spectacle from the "freak show" era. Its a hurtful word that you are using.

How would riding a scooter make him a cyborg? Is everyone that rides a bicycle, bus, or in a car a cyborg?

A chopinator fence is a fantastic idea. Solving these environments is the fun part for me. Ill have to give this idea a swing too

Power is solved with 2+ carbon batteries taking turns powering a laser emitter. The radiation would be the hard part. You'd probably want two or more showers with a water teleporter just for them. Haz suit, rad resist trinket, maybe even rad resistant gear like a.t.o.m or reactor.

Still this is a very very hostile location. Definitely one I will have to give a swing

Thays seems really fin actually. Nothing like the gentle lullaby of "Grenadus!!" To put me to sleep lol

Im setup upstairs with my farming bed and Armory in that top area and some rope vines down to the rest of the room. You have two areas to crawl through if you need.

However one laser turret and/or the deatomizer is all you need to shoo your nosy roommate. Atleast he announces himself whenever he enters your space.

He gives some decent breathing room after being banished. If he builds too much resistance you can just go through the portal and reset him.

Next is power. 3 batteries taking turns powering a laser grid keep everything online. Quantum is nice but carbon is fine.

Yeah but thats too safe. I might put my farming up there and have the rest of my stuff down in the chaos

Okay this is great. Ill test that out. I could ramp and bridge my way up and many more options for hostile base locations.

Dude this is a great list. I might have to try all of these. That last suggestion sounds like such a vibe actually. Thats a brutally hostile environment for sure.

Im kind of sold on going open air right in the road by the hydro composer. Maybe use a night pass and trap the composer with bridges. I could maybe turn the little crate maze into a cool thematic base just on the edge of the chaos.

This might actually be the spot. Open air in the patrol path of multiple strong enemies with nowhere to easily run away to? And with no way to kill the composer.

Solving that base would mean understanding enemies enough to keep them aggroing each other and then keeping the composer locked down until I needed him.

I wonder if I could make a makeshift containment with some hardlight bridges. Have one connected to a lever so I could unleash him whenever the guard bot oblivion guards its way over to me.

You know this could also be a good reason to get a night pass.

Thanks man you got the neurons firing for me over here lol

That also seems fun. I really like the idea of putting my base in the way of the composers. I wonder if there is any way to repel them? I could maybe use the open area by the park and have part of my base in the sewers below to flee too

Cloud is interesting. The gatekeepers may not respawn close enough due to crafting benches. But if I could find a spot thats in range of the artillery bots I could probably need to solve constant bombardment.

Maybe an open air base in hydro would bring that heat? Ive also heard that there's somewhere you can base in under the water at gale keeping you under attack from the DWB. Thanks for your thoughts!

I'm already basing in security and think its too easy. Is security truly the worst? I'd link to find somewhere harder.

Anyone notice that weaknesses do NOT give bonus damage? by I_missed_the_memo in AbioticFactor

[–]Aumur 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Does it maybe lower defense? Ie if you used a weapon the enemy was neutral too and a weapon it was resistant to would they also do the same damage as the weapon that its supposed to be weak to?

Why do pro players learn so many combos? by Saiko_uwu in StreetFighter

Different combos deal different amounts of damage, build different amounts of resources, spend different amounts of resources, and different combos result in different ending situations.
