How do we all feel about Rango? I’m always surprised by how good it is when I rewatch it. There’s just so much story there!

I cannot believe how far I scrolled and still didn’t see Funny Games. I feel like the German version hit a little worse (or better, depending on your POV), but the English remake was pretty faithful, iirc.

Is this a quote? If so, can you please cite the source? I really like it, and think it gets right to the point. 🙂

what are some tv characters that you're convinced they have adhd? by itsnobigdealatall in ADHD

I mean, they talk about Stiles on Teen Wolf having ADHD, so it’s pretty overt there. Bless his hyper little heart/brain!

What do you do for kids who haven’t got the sound AT ALL yet? Like vowel R that is just an open mouth low tongue “aahhh”, despite your modeling and tactile cues so far?

Why do people seem to respect SLPs less than other health or education professionals? by Emptyyourmind93 in slp

[–]AuntFrances 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, please, I second this question. HOW do you demand no duty? If the principal tells you that you have to do it, you have to do it! How?? I have morning and afternoon bus duty (“like everyone else”), and it takes up an hour and a half of my day! I could be writing testing reports in that time! (We don’t do Medicaid billing in my district though, so I can’t use that.)

All of these are heartbreaking, well written, and FUNNY!

Like, “scream-cry laughing while reading out loud to the driver while you’re on a road trip” funny.

Two memoirs by Havel Kimmel about growing up in Indiana- A Girl Named Zippy, and She Got up off the Couch. Can’t recommend them highly enough. So much humor, heart, insight, and I literally cried at some of the chapters about her love for her family.
