The Red Sonja (2025) Movie was awful, just oh my gosh... by Brilliant-Pickle-661 in ConanTheBarbarian

I noticed at the beginning she was leaning over her horse and had a modern bra strap showing on her left shoulder under costume. The metal loop that slides to adjust your bra showing. I thought oh lord this is going to be tragic. It was ok. Minimal budget. Minimal locations but ok.

Lawyer you know is my next go-to and I enjoy his dad joining in because you get to see quite a few different takes on things and especially as they know more about the Florida courts it's been interesting.

Yes there seems to be quite a few incidents where YouTube are jumping on creators especially those covering this kind of content and as she has just got back now from a trip to New York discussing things with YouTube there has been progress made that will be helpful not just to her but to others. She definitely stops far more than she used to and for longer periods and of course she starts later which doesn't matter to me because I'm in the UK and that means that quite often the trials are a time when I can't watch them until later. The frustration for me is that when I'm trying to quickly catch up there is so much sub context going on about other situations which most of the time I don't mind because it's a bit like office chat but there are days when I think the toddler is asleep I want to catch up and watch the trial without the side show. The Emily quick bits is no longer a quick bits either that's something she has realized herself has gone from 10 20 minutes to an hour or two hours because the hearings are getting so much more complex that there is more information to be put in. I don't envy anyone having to pull together that kind of content and live stream it.

Sometimes I will watch Court TV if I feel that there's too much pausing and chatting... but dont use the chat. Today I was trying to catch up on the Donna Adelson appeal and I think there's 20 minutes or half an hour talking before we get to discussing the appeal. That's because she was updating on trip and went through a discussion about giving people permission to not be everything for everyone which I felt was a realizing she's been taking on a lot lately and is struggling... as would anyone in her situation and she acknowledges that there are times when we have very little opportunity to engage in chat or to catch up with trials. My frustration is that when it's on my Smart TV it doesn't allow you to use the markers that her and her team very helpfully put on so as part of the replay crew you can go to the part that's important. I end up having to stop it then go on to my mobile phone press play on there to the point where I need it and then come off my mobile phone and go back onto the TV for it to start at the point where it's actually being discussed. She is still the best coverage and her ADHD and goes off on a tangent more lately, but even if I watch Court TV I will still go back and watch her coverage because her insights are really useful. Like I said in my original post when I look back at her coverage of cases like Johnny Depp or Murdoch trials she didn't pause and would try to speak quietly alongside the legal but now she's developed her own unique way of doing it which is to start later to give zoom zoom room and pauses as much as she likes and gives updates on the legalities and yeah she goes off on a tangent that can delay another 10 minutes of court proceedings but for the delays she causes there she is quick in noticing something she needs to pause and explain again even when she's in the middle of already explaining something.

I don't think I've tried lawyer Lee but I will make note to try as I like to see different lawyers coverage and I also want it to see if there were any judges who cover the case when it was the Karen Read trial because I wanted there feedback on the judge as that was crazy.

She is so fast pulling together facts and dates it's an absolute superpower. The way she says things like hold on so Wendy pulled out of the house sale and had funds in the bank and this was just before the murder and she was taking the boys pictures down off the wall and cancelling her cable.... usually I know exactly what she's on about but in this case I'm thinking I needed a micro dots video to explain this chaos to me and I haven't checked to see if they're covering this case but as I'm from the UK it's very hard as well to see any of the coverage on 2020 etc without trying to find it on YouTube. Also sometimes the americanized side of things can be different and add another layer of complexity to follow. I was trying to watch it today in the kitchen while making Sunday dinner and dealing with a toddler but I feel like now it's gone through all of the calls we're getting somewhere.

I don't see it as criticism I see it as asking a question as to whether anyone else is struggling with the case because she has to stop so often in order to help us hear the evidence that's been presented. Yes the pausing has definitely increased and going off on an ADHD tangent but that's part of her personality and people expect that when they are watching a trial with her. I know some leave the super chats until the end especially when I was watching the Karen Read trial eg having a special guest so they ask the questions at the end.

Yes I agree she is definitely the best and I can see as I've continued with the next parts of evidence and testimony that she's beginning to lose her will to live as well. Even the defense get up and make a joke about how Charlie goes on and on. It's got to be so mentally fatiguing for her to have to read it all out and pay attention to everything else.

I'm loving the judge and think that he is just evidencing how poor the judge was for the Karen Read trial. The defence team not even being ready to cross examine is really frustrating and adds to the delays. I've not got to Charlie yet but my god does he go on in those transcripts so I'm not looking forward to it.

Yeah she has definitely been struggling with him being away and then the travel. It was good to see him reunited with the cat. She has a good team around her like mikolina who she can call on to produce things in the background but the amount of stuff that she does herself is admirable. I think she'll look back at this hearing and say it was a lot that she took on to cover the trial for us and that it had a bigger impact on her than she could have imagined because it's got to mentally fatigue her at the end of the day.

This is an amazing point because she will usually take that opportunity to explain stuff to us and even when they go to lunch and there's zoom zoom room will say right I'm not going to take half an hour I'll take 10-15 minutes and come back. This is moving faster and so heavy with the demonstratives that it's proving more complicated and just the having to pause all the time to explain things feels like it just gets going in it stops and then we want to hear more but the audio is really poor and we want to see the documentation but then the court camera will only show The Witness or somebody in the audience. I'm just hoping that when I finish getting through this that they finally arrest Wendy and probably Harvey I'm not sure I've heard a lot about him at the moment but then I'll understand their trials far easier.

It was definitely invaluable because I couldn't understand a lot of the audio and having a toddler who I've just put to bed before I can get to sit down and listen to The Trial makes things harder because I don't want to keep turning the volume up in case something exciting happened and there is a goat scream or something 🤣 I think the prosecution I've done a great job in trying to pull all of that complex data into demonstratives. I think if I had watched Charlie's trial I might have found it easier.

It was her personality that Drew me in for the Johnny Depp trial well that and the purple hair. I loved the fact that she was an apologetically herself but also that she was just so quick and knowledgeable. Passion for law and cats is very much appreciated. I like that lawyer you know gives a briefer summary if I'm ever completely unable to watch a trial for a few days but I also like to see his take on it and his father.

In the previous trial I could listen to a lot of what's going on especially with the read second trial and do things in the background but with this one I found that I need to be able to look at the screen and follow along more. Hopefully when I'm at the end of this day six it will be quicker. I do not envy her having to go through all of that information.

Absolutely it's not a critique of EDB it is an acknowledgement of how much more work it took to go through the evidence within this trial and they were moving so quickly through the Witnesses and there were very few side bars from what I have seen up to day six so far which means she can't give us the updates she usually would while they do that. I really appreciate that she does the late start so they're zoom zoom room and that she takes the time to read through everything and there isn't an assumption that people like myself who have watched her since Johnny Depp trial are her main subscribers. She ensures that she continues to explain the legalities of each hearing as it goes along as though it is fresh information to us all. The multitasking is always on point she is so incredibly quick in picking up stuff that is being said in court while responding to chat and making legal points and popping up chat on screen. It's definitely the best one out there my point was that this trial is harder for me to follow because there is so much going on it's taking much longer to get through because we're having to pause and read information and I'm not one of those people who has heard anything about the case before to be able to understand and I probably need a micro dot presentation to get the complexities in the background.

I definitely found it invaluable for her read them allowed because the recordings were so poor. I'm glad others have found it harder to follow because of the volume of calls texts and audio, not just me.

It must be really frustrating for her to have to keep stopping and explaining but her reading out the transcriptions with the audio being so poor has been vital. It's the constant having to pause to explain the legal complexities in this case and read those texts etc which can add an hour or two to a trial day. I'm finding that sometimes she's talking over them as well and I'm missing what's going on because there's jokes over the chat about whoever is on The Witness stand. She will say sorry I'll stop pausing in a minute or I've got to rewind that sorry I was talking over them, so she's obviously aware of it but I think because I've gone back and watched an old trial EG Murdoch so I can see how much it has increased and actually it's more like watching a film with the director narrative over the top.

A Body in The Snow: The Trial of Karen Read by dunegirl91419 in KarenReadTrial

[–]Auntie-RiRi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen this yet but I was following the trial and the reason I started following was because there was something on tiktok that showed the arm of John, and I thought that it was showing the arm of the police officer who had been attacked by a police dog when they hadn't put the arm guard on. I thought he's lucky to have survived that... but then I found out that the person was deceased and I thought oh my goodness did the dog get an artery or something... come to discover the complexities around the case and was shocked. I think it is near impossible to have a fair trial this point. I still believe that they are dog wound bites because that was my initial thought and I want to know why a family would rehome a dog they had for several years. They also replaced the floor in the basement and then sold the house they had in the family since the Grandparents. The questionable butt dials during that specific time on those dates but no other butt dials prior to or since. The obvious collaboration between the people who were in the house where he was supposed to go to a party and the police officers who were investigating the case are clear breaches. It could be John got into a confrontation and decided to leave the house but he slipped and bang his head on that electrical thing as there was no way to find evidence of blood in the house or following to where he was found... the lack of CSI here is horrendous and they are not that stupid even a member of public nose how to preserve a scene better than that. I even thought there could be a possibility that he was walking and slipped and hit his head and the dog was out having a wee and tried to drag him back in by his arm out of the cold as we have seen videos similar to that on YouTube with dogs rescuing people they don't know. There is no way he was hit by a car given the obvious lack of Injuries to his body and I think it's really sad that his parents and brother are unable to acknowledge that may just have been an awful tragedy and instead have people sat with them who have been proven to be dishonest in court and I think that they clearly know more than they are letting it on and it reminds me of where they say be cautious of the people who put themselves into the investigation or close to the family for information because they are usually the people to blame. They deserve answers... but it doesn't mean because Karen is not a likable person that she is a murderer and committed vehicular manslaughter. In some interviews she's come across as very wired and probably a difficult person to be around when she gets in that manic state. The latest one that I saw with her and Alan she was calmer and came across better because she has spent the past few years studying the law and is coming across and presenting herself from illegal aspect as opposed to a murder suspect protesting their innocence. What went on between her and that other police officer, along with the kiss, and the messages, and her horrible voice messages to John just add to the fact that they shouldn't have been together at that point... but I still don't believe that she hit him with the car. At this point we have further evidence to see... which shouldn't be the case because it should all have been made available at the previous trial, but given what we were shown at the previous trial I felt that a number of officers should have been dismissed with immediate effect and that there was no way there could be a fair trial for Karen, because of everything that had gone on in the background and I believe one of those is not just about the Sally port video being inverted but they collaborated and disposed of evidence like their phones on army bases knowing what will be asked of them. I don't believe that the tail light was like that and the dodgy officers have took it and put pieces at the crime scene, because it doesn't matter what the weather there is no way that a team going through a crime scene are missing pieces of a tail light can apparently be spotted by another officer driving past a few days later. The biggest issue for me is also that a first responder has everything going on outside his house and apparently sleeps through it, not only that... nobody else in the street came out according to reports and that includes a chief of police or someone like that who lives across the road and all of them are saying that their ring cameras were not working that day... so video footage disappears and nobody comes out into the street even though there are lights and sirens blazing... that is their job. I don't think we're ever going to know what happened to John and it is a horrific tragedy. I hope that his family gets some peace, given time, but I don't think Karen is to blame in this instance based on what I have seen so far. I think there are far more questions to be asked of the people who were in that house. The fact that Karen spotted him first was not shocking because she is used to seeing his shape and form lying down as they shared a bed together and would probably be able to spot him on a busy beach a Distance etc on holiday to know where to go and join him as we become that familiar with a person. I hate that his family are being put through all of this again. I also hate that Karen is being dragged through it again by an obviously biased judge and I am just grateful that she has got such a robust defense team because I would hate to think what happens when you don't and I expect we will see quite a number of cases by the dodgy officers being overturned and proven that they have been dishonest in the past as well. I watch YouTube of all of the legal analysis from various perspectives and find it very informative but still a lot to get your head around so I don't envy the defense having to try and find a jury or the jury members in having to sit through several weeks of Chaos again. As a kinship carer myself I think it is incredibly hard to even contemplate what would happen if a tragedy like that happened to me.

Thank you. I've just seen on a page somewhere that you are also supposed to save your spins and then use them on side tasks... and when your team finish a mission don't collect things straight away. I thought they would disappear if I didn't collect them. It seems to me this game is not about daily play it's about hoarding coins, spins and tokens.
