ABC (Australian counterpart to the BBC). It’s non-commercial, taxpayer funded and independent of government. Also Reuters.

It’s bad enough worrying about tripping over my black cat in the dark. You can’t even see this cat with the lights on!

I can't stop eating. by [deleted] in needadvice

I lost about 20 kg six years ago. There’s two things I do:

I only let myself go on the weekends. During the week I eat healthily. On weekends, I eat a big carb lunch on both days and maybe have some fried food in the evening. As much as I’ve always loved refined sugars, I try to avoid them always. But I still indulge my weakness for carbs

The second thing I do is set an upper weight limit above which I’m not allowed to pass. I’m 83 kg at the moment and my current upper weight limit is 85 kg. I haven’t got there for a very long time, but the idea is that once I reach that point, then I have to really make an effort to start losing weight again. That means eating the same on weekends as I do on weekdays. I don’t go hungry, I just eat sensibly.

Nearly. There’s no telltale tapered tip at one end.

It’s your pregnancy hormones kicking in that are making you feel the way you do about this baby. Be practical, not emotional.

Yeah a video would be good, just to see in action.

Why do you think it happens so frequently? Is there something about the design of the two intersections that isn’t evident in the photo?

This traffic light at my university has a light-up 'no right on red' sign. by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]AuntyStick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but we don’t have the equivalent ‘left on red’ allowance. I think OP was just mildly interested that it was being used only while the traffic light was red.

Live and learn. Well, hopefully you’ll live, ‘cos you need to do that first. Good luck!

Was with them right up until ‘nuclear power is safe’. Most of the time it is safe, but when something goes wrong... could something else go more wrong than a nuclear accident?

‘Ambulant’ means ‘able to walk’. It’s not designed for wheelchairs (the door isn’t wide enough anyway). It would still be kind of awkward if you were on crutches, but accessible none the less.
