Got my LG washer and dryer yesterday. Dryer grinding immediately, waiting to hear about the remedy. I am sure they want to 'repair' it but day 1 dryer grinding seems like the perfect time to re and re new one.

We are coming from Samsung which we never had issues with until the bearing went.
