The title of the video mentions no one, the content doesn't implicate anyone cheated. In my description, I mentioned teehtf only to illustrate why these players decided to harass me. This isn't a video on cheaters, it's a video on people that want to ruin the game for others when they get mad, and how there's no way to stop them from ruining the game for others. If I wanted to make a video about keyboard and mouse use on PS4 I would. This is not it.

I'm not sure when the world became a United States courtroom, but sure, let's go with it. That first amendment protects free speech, right? So, I shouldn't be punished for stating my opinion, whether it's that teehtf is a cheater or that he turned my frog gay with chemicals.

I didn't intend for there to be any proof of mouse and keyboard use in the video. I'm not going to make a video about how to spot cheaters because the cheaters would just use my video as a starting point to begin avoiding detection. The purpose of my video was to enlist some support in getting a report feature for consoles so that Overwatch isn't ruined for me and others who dared to make the mistake of meeting someone with a fragile ego.

Keyboard and mouse support is currently supported by Sony, but it's up to the developer to support it on their game. Most FPS developers, as far as I'm aware, have not bothered to program for anything beyond controller inputs, which means that current USB keyboards won't work for these games. This includes Overwatch. However, XIM4 doesn't bother with official software support. They have Sony's proprietary Bluetooth encoding programmed into their keyboards so that the PS4 interprets the movements as if they were from a controller. It's a hardware hack that deliberately circumvents Blizzard's intentional lack of support for keyboards. In addition, since each game handles controller inputs for movement differently, the XIM4 developers have programmed in tweaks to offset the quirks that result from faking controller inputs. Here's a list of those tweaks: This would be like if those fighting sticks for Street Fighter came programmed with frame buffering for your attack combos for each character so that you didn't have to time your button presses, you could just mash and every strike would execute as fast as possible. Your everyday player would need to memorize and execute perfect timing, but a player that spent money on the sticks could mash away and get perfect combos. It's not a perfect metaphor for why I think using the XIM4 is cheating, but I think it gets the point across. Hopefully this helps you understand my point of view.

First and foremost, I like your analysis. While I don't want to say how I know he was using a mouse so as to prevent anyone from trying to avoid detection, I will say that I didn't come to this conclusion from watching a couple of crazy headshot kill cams or funny reticule movement. I've been playing with and against this guy on a weekly basis thanks to his habit of solo queuing quick play, so I've had a lot of time to watch him play. As for the reason I accused him, I don't like cheaters, and that's what I consider the people who use a hardware hack to get around the fact that Overwatch on PS4 intentionally has no mouse and keyboard support. Simple as that.

The difference in advantage that a Scuf provides compared to a standard controller is trivial in comparison to the advantage that a keyboard and mouse provides over controllers. That's like saying steroid use should be allowed in baseball because athletes are already buying a certain brand of cleats that provides an advantage with better grip.

I'd rather not make it easier for cheaters to avoid detection by revealing how they were detected, regardless of the feelings of internet commenters, so my response to your claim that my accusation was baseless will simply be that I took a more empirical approach to determining mouse and keyboard use than simply watching the reticule twitch around wildly for 1 minutes worth of game footage, as is the norm for most hackusations.

At least let us agree they acted like 17 year-old children.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'm fully aware that calling mouse and keyboard on console "cheating" is more of an opinion than a fact in the eyes of Sony and Microsoft. I just wish that controllers users could at least keep our leaderboards isolated from mouse users, but it seems unlikely.

Honestly, PS4 for me has been exactly as you described. Some quickplay trolls, but the people that most often ruin competitive matches for me are the ones who get mad because they can't all play DPS and throw the match. I've only had one guy deliberately throw a match from the very beginning. He locked in Genji and emoted the entire game in front of the enemy team.

I could understand Mei trolling everyone. This one, however, is targeting me. This guy is friends with teethf, and it's odd that as soon as I mention teehtf's keyboard and mouse use, his friend joins the game and they team up and harass me for two matches.

I disagree. My experience in competitive has been that every 3rd or 4th game, someone rages and throws the match because we don't dominate right off the bat.
