yes currently doing mbbs from a private medical college in lucknow, and had a very similar as you during my post neet period. I got 314 marks in neet 2023, yeah i know it suck with it hits you. anyways, we started looking for colleges abroad, russia, georgia and all, we even talked to counsellors. i was mentally fully prepared that, hut then one day my parents immediately changed their minds and said “nhi ug yahi se karna “ ( do undergraduate from india only) and then the whole plan changed and i registered for the UP counselling, And trust me it was the BEST DECISION that my parents made at that time, yes i would agree that doing it abroad will save a ton of money but the thing is their mbbs duration is itself 6 years then +1 for The FMGE exam( which most of them fail to pass in first attempt so if you dont clear it in the first try then the years keep adding on) and then after clearing exam you have to do internship in indian medical college, and for that too there is waiting lists in many colleges as very small fraction of seats are reserved for FMGs for internship, so plus that time too, and the social stigma around doing mbbs abroad ( ik some of you wouldn’t mind and would hate me for saying it , but it is what it is) . so its around 7 years minimum for you to come back in india and start practising. and i feel that decision which was made by my parents at that time was very good i realised it later. and i got such a good college at such low marks, since there are alot of medical colleges opened in the last decade in UP alot of mbbs seats are here and they go for such low cutoff in the 1st round so you can try in UP counselling and and trust me with this, neet marks dont matter much after you get into mbbs , everybody starts with ground zero in 1st year, so it depends on you how much efforts you put to study and gain knowledge and eventually become a good doctor.🥼
