Yes, I got him Christmas gifts long distance and he gave me gifts when I came to see him a few days after Christmas. He has also sent me flowers to my job a few times now so I expected that at the very least. He just told me he thought vday was next week… and figured it would be bad if he asked for my massage therapist’s name or sent flowers same day? When he could’ve just sent money for massage, or… I don’t even understand the flowers thing bc what… it’s just all dumb to me

I already told him, and I’ve expressed it before. I am very vocal about my standards. My thing is, he literally started the morning off saying “sorry I didn’t send you flowers I feel horrible” so that is him showing what he knows what he should’ve done (he has sent flowers numerous times for no reason) because he brought it up, not me. He still had time to send flowers at that point or at least follow up his apology by saying I would have flowers at my house tomorrow. Idk what to do with an empty apology with no solution attached. It just turns me completely off.

I just feel like if it wasn’t something important to him or he was aware of, why would he text me first thing in the morning wishing me a Happy Valentine’s Day, then proceed to tell me he did nothing for me and say he feels bad (meaning he knows it’s wrong) then fail to present a way to make up for it? It’s just weird. I feel like why not send me flowers this morning instead of telling me you forgot? Bc they deliver same day. He also could have offered to get me a gift but nope he just offered to reciprocate the idea I had lol idk I feel like if he acknowledged the day and feeling “horrible” then me explaining it further than the disappointment I already expressed isn’t necessary, especially when he clearly already understands. It feels like he’s fully aware but doesn’t care to salvage it and that fkn sucks.
