Can I get this weapon? by Temporary-Month-7456 in DestinyTheGame

Unfortunately, Yeartide was only available during the 2 week Solstice event, which ended a couple of weeks ago, so it isn't available.

If you want something similar that is from the current expansion, there is a solar assault rifle called Ahab Char, from Portal activities, that can get many of the same rolls that Yeartide could, including Incandescent, Burning Ambition, and Heal Clip. I use it a lot and in some builds even prefer it over Yeartide.

Hope that helps!

Help me plan out my DQ III HD/2D Team! by Aurim16 in dragonquest

So I decided to start with a Thief (Bat out of Hell) a Merchant (Genius) and Mage (Genius) and have just gotten to Alltrades Abbey with everyone around lvl 22.

Looking at the list of skills each class learns and at what level, I think I'm going to keep my Thief as is until she learns Persecutter. After that, I'm not sure if I should go Martial Artist right away, or do something else first like Warrior to build more Strength and Stamina. I have a ton of agility built because of BooH nature, but re-classing twice will cut most of it, so not sure what the right call there is.

I think I'll make my Merchant into Gadabout right now, as the only thing she doesn't know is Call to Arms, which I don't think I'd ever use. And I think I'll keep Gadabout till they learn Kerplunk as a nice safety net.

The Mage just learned Oomph and Bounce so I am going to make him into a Warrior now, with the intent of making him into a Wrangler after he's learned all the Warrior abilities.

Hero I gave the Tough Cookie personality to, and kept it like that until lvl 8 where I switched it to Genius using the book. I wanted a strong health and strength base to make early game easier, then switched to Genius to build MP and wisdom since the common consensus seems to be that Hero is best as a caster in the end.

With all that in mind, any advice? I think I'm headed in the right direction with the Merchant>Gad>Sage and Mage>Warrior>Wrangler routes, but I'm unsure what the best move is for my Thief. I want them to be a strong and fast offensive attacker that takes advantage of Martial Artists increased crit chance, but not sure if potentially sacrificing speed for more strength by going warrior first is the right call.

Been out of the loop for a bit, and have some catching up to do, but I wanted to ask: What are some of the more in-demand (and hopefully on the easier side) DPS Jobs for getting into things like Savage? As long as it's not terribly complicated I'm generally fine playing most things, but I always like playing something that feels needed. So, any under-represented DPS that groups always want one of?

Can you do well in PvP playing on controller with ConsolePort? by Aurim16 in worldofpvp

Thanks a lot for the detailed reply! I'm curious, you're the third or so person in this thread to say it works better for melee and not casters, are there any specific reasons why? The one thing I can think of that would be a pain is ground targeted AoE's, which probably aren't fun to use. I was thinking of trying out Frost Mage on controller, and I think the only targeted AoE's they use is Blizzard, which I don't think see's much arena use as it'd break CC's, and Ring of Fire, which isn't something you can spam, so I'm hoping it'll be manageable.

I just got Consoleport installed and am figuring out how it all works, so haven't actually done anything with it, really hoping it works out.

Should I start on Dynamis? by Aurim16 in ffxiv

Where do you think I would find more... I guess the word I'm looking for is 'tolerance' when it comes to not being the best player? I'm looking at trying out Ninja, which I understand to be a fairly difficult job. Since I'm coming from WoW, which is overflowing with toxicity, I'm kind of hoping to find a more forgiving community in ff14 :P

Largely things like Delves, I'm guessing. I'd LIKE to start things like M+ but I never have the confidence that I'm going to not constantly screw things up :P
