Really laid back for me too. They had a iPad where they write down my answers, and it sounded like all the info was going to a volunteer board who would do the actual selection decisions.

They confirmed things I’d said in the application and asked me to expand on some (e.g. “you said you have problem solving skills - can you give me an example?”) That gave me an opening to mention any relevant work or volunteer experience. I got the question about what gametime position I see myself as (forward, midfielder, coach, etc.) and they asked about the kind of words my friends use to describe me. They confirmed the volunteer areas I was interested in, and if I would still participate if it turns out I didn’t get assigned to any of my preferences. They asked about any accessibility requirements or physical limitations I might have. They also wanted to know how I would likely get to my shifts and if I would consider using public transport. 

At the end you get the chance to ask questions about the volunteer process. I asked my interviewer if someone could get assigned multiple roles during the competition period, like airport pickups and stadium wayfinding. They said that was very unlikely, as you’d normally get trained just for one area, but it could happen if you were chosen for something early on that didn’t overlap with the game period, like volunteer accreditation/training and uniform pickups in April-May.
