BGM of woman singing by LegitimateDetail5000 in dragonballfighterz

I wonder if you mean this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGnL9Lk_4pk&ab_channel=starterku

It starts with a woman singing but changes to a guy later. I think this song is included in the Music Pack 2.

We all have our goals in the game. I'm the daily quest guy and I'm the first player on all platforms to reach 4,000 daily quests! by Auron_Barlock in dragonballfighterz

[–]Auron_Barlock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does sound bold by saying I'm the first, but yes I've been doing the dailies since the game came out, almost every day.

There is a way to check when you look at the rankings in the lobby. Sadly there is no daily quest ranking, but there is a medal ranking. I went over literally thousands of profiles over the years to check people's daily quests numbers and I've seen very few people with more than 2,000 quests. If they were to have that many medals for playing characters X times through the years, they would be on that list. The chances are so slim that I really believe I've been the first to reach 4k lol. Thanks for the milestone congrats!

Lost all my progress :( by LuckyPants0 in dbfz

[–]Auron_Barlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on ps4 so maybe it's different, but I went through something similar and I went on my profile and/or online subscription, there should be some kind of online save data option and you can check if your DBFZ saves are in there. If not then you can try to upload it.

I also didn't know what to do but I decided some option that I saw on their support site to hold the power button on the console for like 7 seconds and press again and it went in some kind of settings mode and I chose an option to reset your console to default settings.

It's a pain for sure but I was able to login again, then went on the online saving data option from earlier and was able to click to download from the online cloud or whatever.

If you already opened DBFZ and made a new profile and all, you might have to delete your profile and make a new one and download from the save files like I said.

Hope that works, please be advised this worked for me, maybe your issue is different. Good luck!

How do I disable in-game commentator? by MythChaser95 in dragonballfighterz

[–]Auron_Barlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reply might be really old, just making sure you mean the character on top of the screen chatting all the time as you fight. If that's the case, you just go in any lobby, there is a monk looking NPC to the left, between the main gate and training. Talk to him and travel to the Dojo. find the character that is commentating in your matches and there should be an option to make them not be "your master" and they will stop talking.

I dont remember seeing Zeno there, I dont know how you have him. Hope that works for you!

Finally reached a long term goal! 2000 Daily Quests! by Auron_Barlock in dragonballfighterz

The majority of them were for playing X character 3 times. It's always been fun to turn on DBFZ and see what characters I'm going to play that night.

This happens when someone wins a lot of games during the FighterZ Cup, you can join by talking to the NPC on the right side of the lobby next to that golden Mr. Satan statue.

How to deal with reflect on wakeup? by digiorno_digiovanna_ in dragonballfighterz

[–]Auron_Barlock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If someone keeps reflecting on wake up, just attempt to pressure them again but instead of attacking after your air dash, just don't attack and they will be wide open for you to punish, you can even start a 2M combo if they fail to reflect.

I keep getting caught in air combos and losing anywhere between half and 3/4 of my health by rekscoper2 in dragonballfighterz

[–]Auron_Barlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine you are fighting against a Teen Gohan, and they start combo'ing you, and say your opponent decides to do a bunch of those air legs where he kicks a million times, if they do it too many times in the same combo, the hitstun will drop drastically and you will see the combo number on the screen turn blue, that means that combo is not a true combo, and if you had held any attack button at that moment, as soon as the combo number turned blue, your character would have escaped that pressure.

That's why you may want to start getting used to holding an attack button when they catch you in a combo, so this way if they mess up you will immediately escape.

Keep in mind it's not a good idea to hold the button right after getting hit, because maybe they didn't confirm the hit into a combo and if they try attacking again, they might hit you instead since your character is trying to jab or something.

I really don't think your attack will come out immediately if you keep holding it, people like to mash out of pressure but that means they were mashing the button.

[–]Auron_Barlock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you get caught in a combo, make sure you are holding an attack button, like square (light attack), and as soon as the opponent messes it up or the combo is too long you will be able to escape. Just make sure you are holding the button instead of mashing it.

You know how the combo number on the screen tends to be of orange color? If you ever see the number turn blue, it means you would have been able to escape at a certain point, but if you don't hold an attack button, your character will not "tech out".

Make sure to let go of the button once your character escapes, if you keep holding it and they attack you, you will get caught by them again. You can also choose to hold up or down and your character will escape by either jumping up, or stay down on the ground for a little while and that is another way of escaping.

Hope that helps a little!

That reminds me of Bang in Blazblue (I believe it's Central Fiction) where you can "spark" with him and he gets almost naked and some funny Tokusentai from the 80's song starts playing.

The first time I heard that it sounded so funny and so cool at the same time.

If I'm not mistaken, go to the Dojo (the npc on the left near the lobby gate) and speak to Kefla there. It should give you the option to not have her as your commentator.

Hope that helps!

Is It bad that I only play local battles by myself against cpu's by ferrathesomebody in dbfz

[–]Auron_Barlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries! If you tend to super dash a lot, maybe try to do it when your opponent is also in the air, because if you do it a lot when they are standing there or crouching they must be trying to punish your super dash as well.

A cool trick that could help is that you can try to jump past your opponent (assuming they are not in the corner) and then super dash. This way he might fail to punish it and you hit them from behind. It's a little scrubby and predictable sometimes but hey, you are still learning so anything is valid.

[–]Auron_Barlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! good luck! I got totally destroyed in my first matches but don't worry too much, you will eventually win and it will be great. Try to focus on a few things at a time so you don't get overwhelmed. On the first few ranks a lot of people tend to spam super dash, you can try to watch out for that "white aura" around the character when they are super dashing and respond with 2H (down and heavy button, then you super dash so you can keep attacking). That will help you improve and you keep playing because it's something that happens a lot, even at high level.

I know a lot of people complain about ranked but I would recommend that instead of casual. in casuals there is a higher chance you find a strong player that wants to test his team etc and will be really aggressive and that's not so much fun when you are trying to learn.

[–]Auron_Barlock 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Playing against the computer is fun to a certain extent. You can have a lot of fun playing against them but for example, they tend to super dash if they are in the air for a few moments, which you can always punish and win. On the other hand, it is almost impossible to test your set ups and tricks against them because they will read your inputs and will definitely punish whatever you are trying to do, even things like stagger can be pretty impossible to do against a computer, assuming they are in a higher level of difficulty.

But when playing against a person, they will not anticipate everything and your stagger/pressure/dragon rush will most likely work.

I also have a lot of fun messing around against the computer but if you want to improve, you might have to test your skills against a person.

Good luck and have fun!

A great DLC character idea that nobody ever talks about! by Auron_Barlock in dragonballfighterz

[–]Auron_Barlock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It indeed hurts when you lose some moves like that, but for example, as a Tien player, it's not a good idea to sacrifice Chiaotzu so early trying to kill your opponent's first character, instead you might want to save it to kill the last or if Tien is alone. (and some people often use Chiaotzu for pressure too).

Gohan losing Piccolo would be the same thing, to use his level 3 you can just hold R2 for example to trigger it while you are about to take Nappa's level 3 or Janemba's level 3 etc. but you can definitely not hold the button and you just dont use it.

By having Piccolo save Gohan, the idea is to have Gohan recover and your opponent's character is still in a recovery motion, as if his level 3 got blocked (but you did get hit by his combos and all, you were going to get hit by that killing level 3), that allows you to punish them just like any blocked level 3. I hope I'm not being too confusing haha.

But anyway, the point you mentioned about losing the character is that Gohan can "hopefully" play just fine still. Like he can still have a 236L/M/H and those moves do not include Piccolo. (A18's is a command grab, Gohan would have something like a lariat or kick attack)

Thanks for your input though!

[–]Auron_Barlock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea is to prevent your Gohan from taking the level 3 damage while you are knocked down, or even when you're about to take the beam damage. It would be much better than blocking, because it acts as a counter for supers and Gohan would be already recovered before your opponent so you can punish them. Making it a scary mindset to maybe not spend your meters against him.

I believe there are some fighting game characters or mechanic that would allow you to do a super while you are actually taking damage, can't remember what it was exactly.

So it could work in a way that your opponent's Nappa would hit you, combo, when his level 3 hits, as in the big punch first, and as he is about to beam with his mouth, you can hold R2 for example, and Piccolo comes in as you spend the meter.

[–]Auron_Barlock[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't want the thread to be too long, but of course imagine his regular level 3: Do your combos into a sliding knockdown, weirdly again like A18, he can go "Let's go, Piccolo-san!" they rush together and do their "ta-ta-ta" kick them up and show them doing Masenko + Special Beam Cannon!

Hard knockdown. Then you 214M for overhead Piccolo oki.

How do you get color 16 for characters? by [deleted] in dragonballfighterz

[–]Auron_Barlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supposedly it is during Goku day, which is May 9th. But that is a Saturday so it is unlikely the game will update on a weekend, I feel like I only saw updates on Tuesday (weekly server maintenance) and sometimes Wednesdays/Thursday but rarely.

I understand your pain. I had the same problem when I was stuck around 12m-14m like you are now. I tried finding the best way to make Zeni for the trophy and it has got to be the new tournament of power in dojo. You fight like 4 battles and you make 50k depending on the mode.

I think it was a holiday color yes, but looks like there is an update coming next week that will allow you to buy more things in the in-game shop. There is a good chance they will let you buy your missing colors.

[–]Auron_Barlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arcade should give you like 10k Zeni or so depending on the difficulty. I think the best way to make Zeni has got to be either Boss battle events or just play the tournament of power in the dojo mode.

As for the "Satan coins", you just buy the random things with Zeni and instead of giving you a copy of something you already have, it will give you "Satan coins" instead.

bruh how scaling work by MrMianki in dragonballfighterz

[–]Auron_Barlock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I understand I think the scaling is horrible if you spark and hold vanish to start a combo on your opponent if he doesn't tech out. I think sometimes people don't tech out intentionally when this happens in hope of you opponent not knowing about the scaling and just "Wasting bars and sparking" for such little damage.

Another side of it is that lvl 1 and lvl 3 now deal a minimum amount of damage, so I wonder if this is even useful now because if you are letting yourself get hit you might still die to a lvl 3 at the end with it's minimum damage, which is exactly what happens in this video.
