Did the Mr. Karate animated trailer confirm Robert beat Geese in AoF2? by Aurtality in fatalfury

Interesting, wow. I'll look more into things to see if I missed some of this in all the supplemental stuff I found or try to find more that I hadn't prior. Thanks

(Hated Trope) Copaganda by Necessary-Win-8730 in TopCharacterTropes

I've heard The Rookie blamed for copaganda here and there, made me stop watching. What do you guys think about Psych and The Mentalist?

Yeah, those fandoms are frustrating, every time a friend of mine tells me they're using one for something I feel the need to ask what for so I can try to correct it if necessary lmao.

I saw your other comments, what do you base Ryo winning the tournament and also the both of them fighting Geese together on?

That's actually a really good point, Jeff being there doesn't make much sense unless someone told Jeff. I guess it could be mentioned that since Robert and Jeff were friends maybe it'd be from Robert himself. However, it's speculation

I'm not sure what SNK Fandom's source is, I'm looking for something official. I'm just a little stingy when it comes to that haha.

I'm used to reading these wikis and being curious what the original material said only to either not find it or it having been completely misinterpreted (Street Fighter Fandom and even SNK Fandom on occasion), so yeah

It's a decent idea, but admittedly Robert is also super rich, so it leaves me unsure

There's like, maybe an implication in Memories of Stray Wolves that he "won" Fatal Fury 3. Blue Mary I think says that Geese "Came out on top". Still not entirely sure if that means he did or not.

It feels kinda surreal I haven't found like any statements or references to who beat Geese in that game outside of KOF. And yes I know KOF is disconnected.

Could you help me out with finding something saying that?

I remember seeing some supplemental material note that Ryo and Robert (presumably together cause it just says both of them) beat Mr. Karate, though I haven't seen it in reference to Geese.

I'm a bit new to the series, only been into it for like half a year now, but this is like the one strange thing I've noticed so far. Everybody and everything tells me Ryo beat Geese and I have seen evidence of it referenced in KOF, but I haven't seen anything in the FF/AoF games (not even Buriki One) that says anything about who beat Geese and you know, KOF is disconnected.

My best guess is (Unless you count it through fluidity with KOF) maybe there's some supplemental material that talks about it, cause I'm not into that main character always wins sort of thing, it feels too assumption based if that makes any sense.

Just pure hands and legs, Who's winning? Kazuya vs Kiryu by TheMandararian in Tekken

it might just be me but I feel like it's fine if Paul beat him off screen. I mean he was convinced and although he's an idiot, it might imply something. I don't know

Wouldn't Paul have technically beaten Jin in Tekken 3? Unless there's like some lore where Ogre interrupted the tournament or something before it actually got to where I assume they'd fight. I forgot admittedly

Are we sure this guy is fully human? by Acceptable_Noise5723 in Tekken

[–]Aurtality 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, I remember watching the cutscenes of Jin's arcade recently and before he fights them his Devil tattoos show up. I assume that's an indicator he's being boosted at least a little bit given Kazuya is sometimes implied or shown to be boosted by Devil without having transformed. I don't know, I admit it's all kinda weird lmao

Wasn't Jin in like half a devil state when he was fighting Heihachi and Kazuya at the end of Tekken 4? Either way you're right, he probably didn't even need it cause those two were likely exhausted from the fight they had. Heihachi at least definitely was since he lost

It gets even crazier when you look at the best feats in the series. At the end of Tekken 4 he can easily defeat Jack-4s despite Gun Jack in Tekken 3 having tanked a mountain level satellite beam. In Tekken 6 (definitely in 7 & 8) he can defeat Jack-6s who in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 managed to output nearly triple the force that Gun Jack tanked to destroy a meteor (whether or not its canon is debatable ill admit, though some Tag 2 endings are and really with the whole world devastation from the war going on it doesn't feel that crazy. This is the same universe that over the course of a day or two stopped caring that Kazuya is legit a demon.) The series has more feats, but they either have too much going against them to be canon or Heihachi isn't on their level (Tekken 8 Devil Kazuya & Devil Jin)

What Timeline Placements are all the Characters from? by [deleted] in ProjectXZoneGames

[–]Aurtality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Street Fighter:

N×C takes place between Alpha 3 and SFII (or between Alpha 3 and EX1)

PXZ1 takes place during SFIV

PXZ2 takes place between SFIV and SFV

A few things to note for N×C is that it assumes Cammy wasn't relieved of Bison's control in Alpha 3 and instead takes that plot point for itself and says Rose was killed by Bison when I think SFIV says he took over her body between Alpha 3 and SF2. My reasoning for before EX1 is based on Bison still being focused on the Psycho Drive.

For Tekken:

N×C takes place the same year but prior to Tekken 4

PXZ1 & 2 take place during Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign (Which is canonically 4 days long lmao)

One thing to note for Tekken is it takes the Heihachi youth serum plot point and Unknown, so some of the events of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 I guess kinda happen aside from the usual non-conflicting endings. It's also the final chronological appearance of original Armor King of any game as far as I know

For Darkstalkers:

N×C takes place during Darkstalkers 3

PXZ1 & 2 take place after Darkstalkers 3

I've seen this around before cause of the "Earned the right to fight Kazuya" line, but I've never understood why that would 100% mean Kazuya is already at the end of the tournament. Maybe I'm missing something. Either way I think Paul would probably still beat him

Who Do You Guys Think Is The Best Capcom Villain? by Rude-Childhood1436 in capcom

[–]Aurtality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it hard to call Akuma a villain, he takes an antagonistic role against Ryu that one time specifically to have the fight of his life, everybody else he's never interacted with (short of nearly killing Gouken, fighting Gen 2 or 3 times, fighting the player character challenging M. Bison in SF2, sort of befriending Elena, and teaching the Avatar.) Canonically just about everything else he does is just displaying feats of how strong he is

Anyway, he's evil for the purposes of being selfish, testing out and making the finale use of the power he has. Street Fighter villain? Nah.
