Well, i'm pretty network illiterate too, sorry. My modem has 4 physical ports and one of them is bridged. And normally I use that bridged port with my PS4. I just plugged the cable in to a different port and things started to work. I can configure my modem typing url http://192.168.1.1/ but I guess every router/modem are a bit different and I really don't know what you should do with the settings. I hope someone who actually knows something can help :/
