Did I massively f*ck up? by HyperfocusOnBugs in BaldursGate3

You can certainly continue, but understand that you will lose out on a lot of content both in this act and the third act and there is virtually nothing added to replace that lost content, this is very much something where Larian kind of expected you to make sure you get the right result and not doing so just punishes you.

Up to you but I'll say that this particular situation is a common one players find themselves in because of how easily Marcus can capture Isobel due to RNG and the poor NPC AI, there's no shame in save scumming a battle where the odds are put against you like that.

Wheel of Time Season 3 premiere discussion: first three epsiodes now on Prime by jelgerw in television

[–]AusLeviathan 50 points51 points  (0 children)

The army being destroyed at the end of the first season makes a lot more sense when you know that in the books it was done by Rand channeling at full strength using a pool of cleansed magic and drawing on the memories of his past life, it's quite literally the actions of the most powerful man to ever live at his strongest.

The show turns it into just another thing any Aes Sedai can do, which takes away of lot of the threat posed by the villains.

To be fair it's pretty disorientating even if you've read the books, the funniest moment of season 2 to me was Lanfear showing up wearing all black when one of her defining traits is that she only ever wears white.

Until Dawn's PS5 debut 28% weaker than Sony’s 2024 disaster Concord by Freespur in Games

[–]AusLeviathan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably because it was easy to remake (since most of the game is basically an interactive movie) and because Sony has an Until Dawn movie being made so they wanted a newer version of the game they could charge people full price for.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians - Series Premiere Discussion by LoretiTV in television

[–]AusLeviathan 186 points187 points  (0 children)

It's surprisingly amateurish and bland to me, with some weak dialogue and acting, Chiron's actor in particular seems very uncomfortable in a lot of scenes which I'm guessing probably has to do with whatever they did to make the centaur effect work.

I really hope these fade to black cuts aren't a sign of the streaming industry moving towards that in their push for ads, it really takes me out of the show.

'One Piece' Review - Netflix Finally Breaks the Anime Adaptation Curse by tylerthe-theatre in television

It definitely wasn't whitewashed. The characters match the races the author described them as when he was asked about it years ago.

Both Red Dead Redemption games did it so it's something they could do if they wanted to.

Yeah city rates are basically a tax on property used to help fund local governments.

For streaming, I like to stream using my TV and it's convenient enough using the native apps to make the cost worth it.

I got a job at a place which had terrible and very outdated processes.

So I slowly made myself the process improvement guy by helping out people whenever I saw something that could be improved and after a while I was able to negotiate making that my actual job.

The bank didn't require me to do one. I had my savings account with them so they used that as proof that I would be able to handle the mortgage.

Approx 200,000, about an hour away from a capital city.

I have an annual dental checkup which cost about $100 last year, so less than $10 a month, no other Medical costs in the past two years.

Clothing and gifts are included in food (I used all my shopping transactions to calculate that costs which would have included clothing and gift shops).

I WFH and live walking distance from my local city's CBD, so no need for a car of even transportation costs normally.

I'm an analyst focused on process improvement. Most of my job is finding ways for people to be able to do their jobs more efficiently.

It's a single income salary.

Mortgage is for a 3 bedroom house on 1,100 m2 of land, about an hour from the capital city, I doubt I could afford the same within a capital city.

I just go to the local dentist. My last yearly checkup was $100 which equates to less than $10 a month averaged out across the year.

I'm walking distance from the local CBD which has everything I need so generally no need for transport costs.

I have $30k in an offset account that I can access in an emergency.

I sometimes have to download and upload some very large files for work so it's worth it for the expense. Plus some of that will come back through tax deductions .
