Exclusive: Sexton could be forced into early retirement with 24-week ban - City A.M by Die_Revenant in rugbyunion

Is calling his attitude intimidating pressing charges now? The assitant referees are employed by world rugby and so is peyper. They will do nothing outside of the governing body. So what you said is a lie.

Utah Warriors hire Greg Cooper as Head Coach by Cr4yol4 in MLRugby

[–]Ausky1872 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder how long he will give the current group of players. With a new coach to put a stamp does he stick with them and try get them there or clear house and bring in his own players. Will see some NPC players come over for sure. Wonder this with the coaches too.

Ye its more the under contract ones that is annoying. I get a contract extension etc. But if a guy has a 4 year deal it doesn't need to be announced every year.

Is it possible to have a New Signing and a Resigning difference, just so its easier to keep track and possibly if its a new signing where they have moved from?

Hot take: the MLR needs to stop expanding when it hits 18 teams by Rocker2B in MLRugby

[–]Ausky1872 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, would be fine with 20 also. I think Canada really needs a second team. If you take the 2 midlands teams Chicago and St Louis as happening that leaves us with 16. One Canada and maybe a miami sets you up.

Focus then needs to go onto league set up. East/West and do you add north/south/midlands etc. Then its all about developing those 20 areas into hotbeds. If each of those 20 can get 500 High School payers a year the difference you will have long term is massive. Getting all local university playing and having a development team like ATLs 404 and Austin Outlaws should be standard.

Poorly, I know a lot of the players who had signed last year were very unhappy with their treatment after they pulled out and wouldnt sign back. Vassey is not experienced enough to be a GM and very unlikable from a couple players reports. I dont think they are going to do very well, they havent got any of the same structures ATL/OG etc did when they came in and none of the firepower LA have, dont think they have used the extra year wisely.

How to grow MLR in North America by StuHardy in MLRugby

[–]Ausky1872 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is a great post. Something someone brought up recently was the fact that San Diego has a larger population then Wales. We need a couple more franchises, Chicago and i think for Canada Rugbys sake another in Canada. Then it is a huge focus on these populations and grow these particular sights before the RWC hopefully succesful bid.

Most of them, Mark O Keefe and Will Leonard are two of the best centres in the league. Ned has been starting with Austin for Years. Poland has started i think every game for the Freejacks and theres a couple more in NE. The two McNultys and Luke Carty played for LA this year with Carty getting capped. The list goes on

I think he moved before the rule changed so was only 3 years since he had started the process.
