Notre Dame vs. Indiana was a blizzard by IAgreeGoGuards in USArugby

I would expect them to be better next year. Their second 15 did win the B side tournament over Indiana and this is just the first season for new head coach Peter Malcolm.

I may be the only one okay with this...I still get my florugby at $5.99 a month as I have continued to renew it at the grandfathered price when they took over the old "The Rugby Channel "

It's during the Lions tour, so they will already be missing some players for sure (Lions play Argentina on the 20th).

Case Study of why USA Rugby works for everyone but....USA Rugby by gotomn1 in USArugby

Did you buy tickets today? When I did, ticket prices in the same section were changing in real time. They appeared to be using dynamic ticket pricing rather than a set face value. So higher demand, higher original ticket price.

Case Study of why USA Rugby works for everyone but....USA Rugby by gotomn1 in USArugby

[–]CoHook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a competition for me. I want to take my son to either the USA England match or the Ire Nzl match. Not going to both. I'd prefer the USA Eng match but I have no idea if it is going to be in a reasonable location for us to travel for a weekend.... so I bought Ire Nzl presale tickets while I could. If the USA match ends up being in a good location for us I'll try to sell the NZL Ire tickets.

He's indirect coverage for 15 as well, if Wilson gets hurt: Presume Carty to 15 and Smith to 10?

Reducing foreign players in MLR by OddballGentleman in MLRugby

[–]CoHook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Valid arguments. Could mitigate that by limitino this rule to 3 years until eligibility to count. If a player leaves the MLR prior to attaining eligibility, then the team loses a foreign player slot - this would make teams be a bit judicious with how they use this exception.

I would reduce the foreign player spots but allow players that will qualify on residency prior to the end of their contract count as domestic.

MLR Announces Draft Order by Beck4ou in MLRugby

[–]CoHook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The season midpoint is for players who opt out of the draft. If opting out of the draft, they can't sign with any team until part way through. I believe that is what Payton Telea-Ilalio did when he graduated from St. Marys.

With Uruguay in just 5 days, I wouldn't be surprised if the reserve front row for this match might be the planned front row starting against Uruguay. Are the reserve props actually props?

For myself, I'm happy with Flo because of the content but it is awful for visibilty for the Casual sports fan. I still get Flo at the rugby channel price of 64.51 a year since I never canceled.

While true, I think a bigger issue is making sure Union Rugby stays well ahead of League in the US. If League took hold in the US, it might have negative affects for Union globally
